Part of me hopes this is just a misunderstanding. And another, more evil part of me hopes it isn't, and that we'll see a character in MK7 who is a combination of all the characters most people hate: Bohsukai Rykojinnokage!

This can mean either one of 2 things, either Smoke is hidden behind Noobs character square, or accessed through Noob therefore both share movesets etc., or both Noob & Smoke are on the same character and maybe either by changing movesets or using the taunt button you can switch between the 2.

I hope it just means they have similar moves/styles.

That's not what it says:

"Noob Saibot and Smoke are two characters that are kind of fused into one," says Ed Boon, "so they're going to have all of these weird juggle-combos with their different fighting styles."

This can mean a number of things. Their fighting styles are similar and generally mean they're the same; their styles are so similar to one another that all of their styles are basically one style; Noob randomly morphs into Smoke and vice-versa;etc.

However, judging by the select screen, I would say the last one is ruled out.

So, a lot of you will hate me for this but...
I think Noob and Smoke are boring, so it won't be a problem for me if they fuse into one character, if that would mean there will be one character (Sektor, kung Lao, Kano) more.

they are both geat fighters and they should bring them back and it would add a nice twist

I hope they're both Separate Characters... Smoke is my favorite Character!!!
