Smoke, or Cyrax?

I'm not hating one Cyrax, or anything, but, I would have personally preferred Smoke being in MK:DA over Cyrax. And, how did Cyrax, suddenly become a Special Forces agent? I thought that he used to be a Lin Kuei Ninja, before he was automated.

I really believe that Smoke has greater story depth than Cyrax--or rather, greater potential. I like the scenario in Sub-zero's MKTrilogy ending. If there should be any cybernetic ninja in MK6, I, personally think that it should be SMOKE. What do you think?

Well preferred Sektor, he seemed more of an evil bastard. But I also like Cyrax, but not in MKDA.
I think ninja smoke was cooler.

Cyrax became a Special Forces agent in Mortal Kombat Gold. At the end of Mortal Kombat 3 Cyrax was unable to kill Sub-Zero and travelled to the desert where he automaticly shut down and was buried in the sand. During the time of MK4 Jax and Sonya stumbled across Cyrax and made afew modifications to Cyrax before turning him on again. Jax and Sonya were able to manipulate Cyrax's missions from the Lin Kuei and programed him to work for the Special Forces. Cyrax also became more human as he further worked for Jax and Sonya.

Intresting question, I would like to see smoke in 3D but Cyrax is one of the original hunter-slayerz
so i'll have to say CYRAX. (they better give him back the damn net. And since the bombs were slow they should have had 2 or 3 shoot out into the fore- and back- grounds. (like in the movie)

in response to how cyrax became a special forces agent - in mk3/umk3/mkt sub zero captured cyrax and programmed him to kill shao kahn, when shao kahn was defeated by someone else cyrax was left stranded in the desert without an objective, around MKGold (the mk game that doesnt really matter) special forces recovered cyrax and worked to restore his sould, they acheived this and he vowed to help them.

Smoke has a better storyline than Cyrax. Cyrax is more like a drone to the Special Forces. His mission was simple and he really didn't have a storyline. I have some unanswered questions about Smoke and where he was during MK:DA. I guess he didn't like the Lin Kuei or something. If any of you were paying attention to Sub-Zero's bio it says he killed Sektor and took over as the grandmaster of the Lin Kuei. But where the hell did Smoke go? I guess he didn't like Sektor or maybe Sektor killed him. I don't know.

There's too many Special Forces in MK. Just Jax and Sonya should be the only Special Forces people in MK6, so I'm going to go with Smoke because Cyrax is just getting dragged out.

I would rather see Smoke in the game, I just liked his caracter better, and i preferred robot smoke to ninja smoke ifI had to chose but I wouldnt mind to see him redone

Did it actually say Sub0 KILLED sektor? cuz if i remember correctly it only said he defeated him or something to that effect...
I like Cyrax, he was more original than smoke but maybe they should change his story...like maybe he never finds jax and sonya, but meets up w sub0 and they team up...plus his moves; give him the net back, and make the bombs faster and the blast bigger so they arent so easily sidestepped...but i would like to at least find out what happened to smoke, even if he's not in the game (preferably he won't be, one cyberninja is enough)

I would like to see Smoke in MK6. I always liked Smoke. I want him to be in his robotic form though. MK needs to get away from all the ninjas. Yes, MKDA only had two. But I think Smoke was a lot more original and cool when he was his own character, and not a scorpion rip-off. Now you could argue that Smoke, Cyrax, and Sektor are all rip-offs of each other. But I would still rather have Smoke as a robot and not a ninja. That's just my personal preference.

Sektor all the way. There just something very cool about a souless automated ninja. I used to like all three ninjas in MK3, but Smoke is AWOL, Cyrax has gone all goodie on our asses, so Sektor should make a comeback!

Smoke shouldn't have the cyber ninja look though... I think he should have a cloak and a hood, you can see his face, but the cloak and his smoke effects would look cool together... he would have some cyber parts still in him once you see his arms and face, but the ninja look might be to repetetive... later

If I had to choose one I would prefer Cyrax, and when he powers up he starts smoking.

Indeed, as has been said before, Sektor was defeated in the match for Grandmaster. It said nothing of him being killed.

I for one, was disappointed that Sektor didn't appear as a secret character in MKDA. (besides, Sektor is the only real Badass in MK anymore IMO...)
To me, Sektor and Cyrax are as integral to each other as Scorpion and Sub-Zero are to each other.

They are to each other as the Ryu and Ken of Streetfighter. You can have one without the other, but would you really want to?

i rather not c smoke(in robot form) or cyrax in the next MK. but i rather choose smoke because his whereabouts are still a little unknown. also, cyrax turned REALLY lame in MK:DA.

I say Smoke or Sektor. Smoke was character with potentail and a shady storyline. Sektor, on the other hand was just plain bad-ass. Personally, Cyrax turning good and all made him kinda a pixie now that joined the Special Forces.

I agree. Cyrax had a good storyline and good moves until MKDA came along (where he was deprived of all his trademark moves that had once made him one of the best characters in MKT imho). He's definitely a low tier character now and let's not even mention his storyline (why oh why did they have to make him join the special forces?). Both Cyrax and the special forces are a terrible waste of space. I say it's time for a change and my vote goes to Sektor.
