Smoke has finally returned. Is it cause of the overwhelming cries from his fans or is it about time he made another apperance?Who knows, but as for all you who hoped Smoke would stay dead HAHAHA!!!!

Now, since Smoke is part of the fighter roster, what should he do,how should he look, what are his abilities, and what's his story?

I wish he wasn't human, but wasn't a cyborg. He should be made of smoke or something like that. He should be the form of a human but made of smoke. It would be a better thing for him.

But if I have to choose between cyborg and human, I choose for it to be a mixture of both.

I think Smoke is going to be human, but with a twist, sorta. But I would much rather him being mostly human with cybernetic parts than full automated cyborg.

Smoke isn't coming back..that black ninja is Noob Saibot or Scorpion. It's not, I repeat, not Smoke. Smoke isn't undead; he would also be dressed more like Sub-Zero, being a member of the Lin Kuei. That's just my take on it.

The magazine mistook Noob/Scorpion for Smoke. I love Smoke, I loved the idea of giving Sub-Zero a buddy character, but Boon obviously doesn't like Smoke much, thus, he hasn't seen an MK since Mortal Kombat Trilogy.

I agree that the character in the pic is noob, but Smoke is in the game.

Along time ago i actually wrote a mini bio for smoke for mk6. here it is. (btw i am a human smoke fan)

Smoke

After spending a number of years with a woman shaman on Earthrealm, who used methods in Voodoo and various other dark arts to restore his human flesh, the ninja known as Smoke is finally free from his pre-programmed life. Although the Shaman could not restore all the limbs and organs of the ninja, Smoke still retains the image of his former self before automation.
Throughout those painful years of reforming his natural self, Smoke could save just two memories. One was of friendship and alliance with a ninja called Sub zero, the other was to kill him. Smoke ventured into Outworld to discover which memory was the true one.

Basically i would like his appearance to be ninjarish and with my bio i pictured him with all these voodoo tattoos on his exposed skin (perhaps all over his back in alt costume, otherwise just on the arms) The tattoos would act as omens or safeguards so that he could bear the pain of becomming mostly human again.

I never really liked Smoke, he was pointless IMO. I sincerely hope thet do something new with him (like using him to make another character look good). I don't know why but I've never really liked characters like Smoke, Kabal or Scorpion that much. I don't see what's so captivating about them.

If he's in, meh. Midway must have plans with him then. Midway can do a lot better at marketting a game then me so I can't complain.

Could I please ask everyone something? I don't intend to offend anyone, but could someone please tell me why Smoke is so popular? I don't want to insult anyone, but maybe I missed something. He's one of the most popular characters in MK, yet he is no different from let's say Sektor. I would just like to get a general consensus on why you like Smoke.

Smoke was my favorite character to play in MK3. In the original MK3 (not Trilogy or UMK3...somehow he seemed toned down in that) Smoke was so powerful. Sektor's teleport+The spear was a dream combination for juggling.
From a storyline point, I always liked the younger Sub-Zero better; I know people say he's a wuss..but I like him. Smoke was his best friend, and I found that interesting, because there are very few true friends in Mortal Kombat. I liked their storyline dynamic.

Oh OK, cool. It's just I always liked Sektor and cyrax better in MK3. Smoke wouldn't be a bad edition to the game, but I feel like every spot in the game should be used wisely now. Characters just returning to continue a now defunct relationship should be put in the last spots at the end, IMO.

probably the same erason everyone likes reptile. despite the fact that smoke had recycled moves, his speed made him hard to beat, and his status as a secret character gave him a coolness factor similar to reptile. the fact that mk3 fleshed out a storyline added a good background to an already popular character.
smoke is one of my favs but i hope he is refitted with new moves because noone likes a clone ;)
