and if raiden can do this, he should just bring back every war hero ever and make them his super team of earth heros.

a nice twist would be that sub-zero kept the robtic remains of smoke and kept them in a lin kuei medical facility and has been trying to fix him ever since or some shit like that.

Nobody knows smokes end story, but there are two main possibilities.

1) Smoke probably got killed by sector or Cyrax in a battle.

2) Its possible that he is somewhere in hiding. So if thats the case, you wont have to bring him back from the dead. The reason why he would be in hiding is because he sure has made alot of enemies around him, so he needs to be carefull.

If Smoke is still alive, I would love to see him back.

If he is dead, please, keep him that way.

Nothing in the game suggests Smoke's death, other than his absense from the last two games. You can't assume anyone in the MK universe is dead, unless the game explicitly says so.

I think if Smoke comes back his storyline should be that he'd been in hading in Japan, but with the obvious danger of the Tekunin, he left Japan to join Sub Zero's reformed Lin Kuei. However, I only think Smoke should return if he looks different from Cyrax and Sektor.

If they bring him back, which I hope they do, I highly doubt he will look like Cyrax or Sektor. He won't look like a ninja either.

Agreed! MK seems silly with people dying and then being brought back. As I've said before, Cage and Sindel wore that story out years ago!

and let the dead characters stay dead! I don't ever wana see Liu Kang or Shao Kahn back even though they were badass fighters. But they were not like scorpion or subzero, the 2 most famous characters in MK history, if they were to be killed off permanently, then that would suck.
