smoke would be an interesting character to have back in my opinion, storywise he has gone into hiding I think its about time he returns. He still retains some of his humanity so you could do an interesting costume with him mixing the cyborg and human forms together, plus mixing the two move sets together would make hime godly

I hope they bring back Smoke too, but I doubt they will. I think he could help out Sub Zero now too but, I don't know. I hope he comes back.

I could only see that happening if smoke died and Raiden revived him back into human form, otherwise the cyborg will still be there. Or maybe he could be a spectre like scorpion but I think that would take away from the unidueness of who scorpion is.

I would like to see him as half-cyborg, half human, but I would seriously hate it if he got his spear back; I say leave the spear to Scorpion.

I definitely agree that the spear should be something left to scorpion, it was annoying when 3 characters all had that one move. Speaking of which Noob Saibot better not have the spear either.

Not only the Red Dragon but Zero and the Lin Kuei also has to worry about the Tekunin, Sektors clan of cyber-ninjas... if he indeed makes it to MKD. It be cool to see Smoke come back with the look as if he physically attempted to make himself more human again when he was out in hiding. Maybe thats why he was gone this long?

He can have a mix of his old ninja appearence, with wires and circuits exposed under his partially classic grey gi and forearm/fist pads, automated skin and eyes under the more classic-yet still up-graded mask, and his cyber get-up, with the Predator-like tentacles comin out of his head, exposing chest plate with the number LK-7T2, still half automated appendiges, etc.

And instead of his teleport punch, which goes off screen, he can maybe teleport by smoke itself, and appear on the otherside of the opponent very quickly... He needs another special move and weapon other than Scorpions spear...

i think noob is going to have hes own moves now and smoke as well and i think you would play as smoke as a cyborg and then at his ending they would remove his robot body and he would finally be human

not to be too technical but a cyborg has parts of his body removed and replaced with robotic parts if they removed his robotic parts you might only have half a human smoke left... if that. Like I said before, only by revival or being a ghost would smoke be human again.

I personally hope Smoke doesn't come back. Sektor and Cyrax were the main two cyberninjas, now that they are 99% confirmed to be in, I think Smoke's chances should drop to about 20%. That's a bit too high, IMO.

The whole point of starting up the new Lin Kuei storyline, was to introduce character like Frost and to give some criminal clans (like the Red Dragon) somehting to do. Smoke being in the stry would take attention away from that. I'm sorry, but Smoke coming back would turn it into the Sub-Zero show.

Hmm.. Maybe if Smoke returns to help Sub-Zero... Sub-Zero can use the dragon madalion and its powers to revert Smoke back to his human form.. that would be bad ass.. and would be a decent way to get Smoke Human again.. Personally I think Human Smoke should be in the game... But he should also have Robo-Smokes Moves.. The teleport punch.. the harpoon. invisibility. and of course a few new moves.. People have wanted Human Smokes return since MK4 .... PLEASE DELIVER HIM TO US MR. BOON!!! BOO YA!

If Smoke came back as a cyborg, I wouldn't mind. In fact I'd be all for it. If Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Ermac, and Noob Siabot are there to represent the male ninjas, I say Cyrax, Sektor, and Smoke to represent the cyborg ninjas.

Smoke's been gone long enough, it's time for him to make his glorious return dammit (as long as he's a cyborg that is; turning him back into a human is just stupid, especially since he wasn't even all that cool as a human to begin with).

Smoke as a human or Cyborg is trouble for Midway, as a cyborg wouldn't be as much trouble but the ability to give each cyborg a unique appearence is harder than doing it for the ninjas. And if he was to be a ninja, his entire moveset would have to be completely revamped so he wouldn't be a mirror of scorpion, so I don't think he'll make MKD's cut because of the fact that he will take so long to make, he seems popular enough to return but I don't think they'll squeeze him in, Smoke originated as a completely playable character when and as a human during a period when the MK team went nutty with the male ninja sprite Chameleon, Rain, Ermac, Human Smoke, Reptile, Scorpion, Classic Sub-Zero, and Noob Saibot. Chameleon and Rain are gone altogether, Ermac survived the onslaught, Reptile isn't even a ninja now, Scorpion is a shoe-ins for every game, Classic Sub was a joke character, and Noob really isn't going to be a ninja anymore, I think I remember he had an alternate costume in 4 as a grim reaper kind of guy, and as a like a guy with grey skin and fangs. So Outlook bad on Smoke returning.

Rain has potential to return... maybe not for MKD but for a future installment. Chameleon i believe was a spoof character anyway. Noob Saibot is a ninja, he was and still is. He may not appear like one in MKD, but Ermac hardly appears to look like one as well and yet he still is. As long as they have a mask, and they were ninjas before, they will still be ninjas in my book. The reason Noob looked like a death dealer in MK4, is because he comes from Hell/Netherealm. Its part of his story. If they wanted to revamp Smokes character they can... why they wont actually do it is another matter.
