As for me I still think it is Noob's alt and my reasons are on all the other threads of the new screeshots.

Regardless of who it is, I still think the outfit sucks.

Noob has 4 outfits? Uhmmm.... I don't think so. The all black outfit (kicked by Kira) and the "human" black ninja are Noob Saibot, the red & blue/purple & black dress are Skab, and Smoke is the fighter with mask and ethereal/smoke body.

I believe Nimbus was supposed to be in MK1. Noob Saibot and Nimbus are a members of the Brothers of the Shadow (Which by the way it looks now makes sense). For soem reason they developing team didn't put him in the game.

In MK1, Nimbus was going to be a black fighter of Muay Thay, and the "team-mate" of Sonya was going away to call Kurtis Stryker. In MK2, the MKTeam renamed to Jax, and used the concept of Nimbus. Later, appears the rumors that Nimbus was a member of the BoS.

ok, i'm gonna set this straight: Nimbus Terrafaux, and Nimbus of the Brothers of the Shadow are two different people. Nimbus Terrafaux was a rumored character in the original Mortal Kombat, and was supposed to be this big, black Muay Thai kickboxer, and the other Nimbus is second-in-command of the Brothers of the Shadow under Noob Saibot. So, this is a question to the guy that said the stuff about Liu Kang and Smoke being true, way before anyone knew about it...Is Shao Kahn in the arcade mode? As a hidden or boss character??

I myself still believe that the dragon king is shao kahn. I mean look at shao kahn without a helmet in the MK2 game. If kahn is not dragon king, then i think they are related somehow

If you look closely at the logo on Smoke's boots, the logo splits at the top unlike the brothers of the shadow logo which doesnt split at the top at all. They're two different logos! Why would they be giving Noob another costume? And why would they make Noob translucent? The MK Team could still be working on Smoke and not be totally finalized (which I hope there not). I think by the time its all said and done, Smoke will look pretty damn sweet and hopefully have smoke coming from his body like in previous games. I also hope that they give Smoke an awesome set of moves.

I think it's Sub-Zero. His outfit is similars to SUb. He looks darker, maybe because he's beneath a shadow.

i hate to be against everyone, but i'm sticking with the thought that that's gonna be Smoke, they just have'nt put indiviual character effects in yet, like Sub-Zero from MK:DA where he had the ice breath. That's probably one of the last things that they're gonna do, IMO.

Agreed. And he's not transparent, he's translucent. There's a difference. If he were transparent, then you could see the backround clearly through him, like he was made of glass. However, you cannot see the backround very clearly through him, although you can see some backround shapes. That's what translucency is: being able to let light pass through (and, therefore, some visualization of what's behind it), without being able to actually *see* the object behind it clearly. He's "cloudy", so to speak, in every sense of the term.

It's smoke. If you look closly, you can see the arena floor through his arm and legs and the only other person it could be, which i highly doubt b/c he doesnt wear a mask, is ghost Liu Kang.
