If I can find the i-Guide locally, I may get it for collectors value.
I don't think I would get it and go through all the secrets until I was comfortable with my overall progress with the game on my own.

Defentily the guide, although the I-Guide looks sweet...I dont feel like hitting pause and running over to my computer every time I need to look at the I-Guide. I would rather just have the book right next to me.

Well the I-Guide is more hands on, I think.
It actually shows you how to do stuff and has a guy talking; walking your through everything.

lol. that's what i do, except it only works for games that have been out for a while. it's going to take people a long time to unlock every single little thing in mortal kombat: arenas, characers, super unlockables, puzzle kombat characers......the grave yard is huge dude. good luck. trust me that $15 is gonna save u like 3 months of playing conquest over and over
i'll probably get the strategy guide. i don't feel like switching between the comp and PS2 24/7

The Strategy Guide, cause you have it right there when you need it and even though the I-Guide has print outs you would have what you need already printed on the Strategy Guide.

Why not just put the iGuide in your DVD player and press TV/Video when you need to switch?

I'm not getting anything. I hate strategy guides. There are the same as cheating and take all the fun out.
The iGuide is the ultimate party pooper. Not only does it reveal how to do the moves it shows the moves (fatalities and the like) themselves. So why even get the game?

Buying Strategy Guides? Holy shit, what a waste of mony, paper, etc... Seriously if you need a guide for a simple game like mortal kombat then I suggest not even bothering purchasing the game, not to mention you obviously have the internet so you can get it all for free anyway?
MK:Deception is an online game, you cannot create a complete guide for an online game before the game is even released, you can only cover the basic moves (what they do etc) and not actual strategies...
I have played a game called Command & Conquer Tiberian Sun: Firestorm for the past 5 years online, I go back and look at guides that were created pre-release and its just laughable at how useless they are.
The only point of a guide like this is for a move list and if you get stuck in conquest mode, however can you really justify spending $XXXX on a movelist / some help in conquest mode for that price? when you could of easily found it on the internet with a few clicks of the mouse? Not to mention its a serious waste of paper (need to think about the environment aswell).
I recommend alot of you seriously rethinking about buying a guide for this game.

The hell are you talking about? MKD isn't Everquest. The strategy guides have all the moves, fatalities, secrets and pretty much everything else. For $15 or so, I'd gladly take a guide over wasting alot of time looking for things that may or may not exist.
Have fun on your own. Cya next year sometime.
I pre ordered both the brady and th I-guide.
I think the I-guide is something to give you stradegy hints and stuff so you look at it first and then you try to do that stuff in the game. the i-guide also has printing sheets and THAT you can use when acually playing the game.
But I don't gonna waste my printer ink and I'll buy the brady guide as well :)
oh and by the way, the I-guide ($10) is cheaper than the brady guide ($15)

And neither are games like Tiberian Sun, Counter-Strike, Warcraft III etc. However writing a guide for any online game before it's released is just stupid as it cannot be a complete guide. The people who write most them guides are not even half decent at the games anyway, you really think a few random writers will actually know what is effective in online tournaments? please...
I assume you are simply just a casual gamer... one who really has no clue about competition in video games, those who think because they finish a game on some hard setting that they are like actually half decent at the game...
If your just buying this guide for a movelist then you need seriously help... there are plenty of free resources on the internet, that will not only provide you with what these guides offer but plenty more and for free... But hey I guess you think its fine for countless forests to be destroyed so you can waste your money on useless strategy guides.
anyway kaiohx you are obviously somone with no experience in the competitive side of computer games so I suggest you just be quiet and go waste your money on useless guides that are only created so stupid people will waste their hard earned cash in the hope to become half decent at a game, when infact if you cannot work it out on your own you never had a chance of ever becoming half decent.
