EDIT 1: Shao Khan was playable unmasked, but I didn't select him.
Yes, so I went over to my friends house to play MK:D. First off, some of the characters are WEIRD.

There were three characters I remember which were brand new. A shokan, a vampire, and a raptor. The Vampire was pretty much just like Nitara, except she seemed somewhat younger and had a "puffier" face. Her hair was short, and she didn't wear a headband. Outfit was basically the same though, with the exception of some armor tidbits.

Raptor was...one of the most horrible characters I've ever seen. Imagine Lizardman from Soul Calibur II, except this guy fought without weapons and had an outfit similar to Reptile's on.

The shokan was actually pretty neat, and either this character or another one was named Renee. Anyway, the Shokan was pure gray and bald and had two fairly interesting fighting styles. The first one he wore a robe, and fought with only his top two arms. When he switched styles, he threw off his robe and used all four arms to battle.

Some other interesting tidbits were the returning characters. Rain, Khameleon, and Jax all made a comeback. Rain was the same purple ninja he was back in UMK3 (boring as hell. No outfit change and all of his moves were still intact). Khameleon no longer had a mask on, and had a face similar to the main character in Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. (which doesn't make sense, considering she's a raptor) Jax was back in probably the best outfit I've ever seen. His outfit looked like Guile's from Street Fighter II, except it was a gray palette instead of green. He no longer had metal arms, but his arms were a paler color because he had removed the metal arms. He was also bald with a goatee.

One of the most interesting characters was the sub-boss, who was named "Big Nose" for some reason. Yeah, stupid name, but it was actually a pretty cool character. Hmm...how to describe Big Nose. Okay, Imagine Inferno (Soul Calibur II) with a mix of Charade's alternate outfit (also SC2) and that was Big Nose. Except, his face was this huge golden nostril-shaped helmet. He could also change his lower torso into a weapon at what appeared to be random. (his legs would split in half and form hooks, etc.) I really can't do it justice, but it wasn't a bad character except for the name.

After a little while of playing, I went back to the intro screen where RAIDEN AND QUAN CHI ARE KILLED...by the Dragon King. Shang Tsung stumbles upon their dead bodies later, and he was really fucked up, probably because he got his ass kicked by Kung Lao. Then you see Baraka chasing after the Dragon King (couldn't make out what the narrator was saying).

Before the dream goes away from memory a couple of other characters appeared with little changes but here:

Mavado - Now used a short sword as a weapon.

Kitana - Unmasked in her blue outfit and used different looking fans.

Drahmin - No longer had flies buzzing around him, and his club looked different. His flesh looked a bit more "fresh" too.

Yeah, that was it. Don't really remember the select screen but it looked a little different from what it currently.
