I wouldn't say he's a joke or copied he looks like a fresh new "normal" fighter. Personally he looks cooler than Cage and next to Sonya is the best "human" male fighter so far...

No I think he looks different.... well I never assimilated to any other character.... but he does look plain imo

I kind of think that all of the mentioned above makes him cool. Kind of a joke, but if they make him kick ass and somehow have a cool story then he will probably be one of my favorite characters.

i really dont know how other character from other games look. Mortal Kombat has always been my only fighting game, other than Killer Instinct(a good game too, I just wish they continue making them).

I think Kobra looks great. I just hope he's story isn;t stupid, and has sorry moves. I hope they rock, and so does his fatalities.
I hope he's not another actor like Johnny Cage. I liked Johnny Cage, but his stories and endings were annoying. I don't want Kobra to be the main hero, it'd be too expected. I'd rather see him on the good side, and like Tanya's ending, he'll be a great deciever.

In my opinion this new guy looks better, but this is just my humble opinion, I think KL looks good too or even better, but I guess I have to wait and see....
