He's not a super unlockable. (Sigh) He's part of the main 24. You just have to unlock him like you did Cyrax, Nitara, Raiden, ext. in Deadly Alliance. And also, he's a zombie/spirit.

Dude, instead of making multiple threads about the super secret characters, read up on the characters in the sticky thread on the front of this page. Titled something about characters and select screen. And just so you know, before you make another thread, nobody has a damn clue who the super secrets are. Alot of people speculate but no one can even begin to say since they very well could be all brand new characters. And for a list of the known characters, check that stickied thread so you'll know who's in and who's potentially still super secret.

I think that is is good that Liu Kang is not a super unlockable because I really want to play as him. I don't want to go on an entire quest just to be able to unlock him.

Where did Bezou get that pic of Liu Kang?

The skin's just been colored in differently. The source pic has skin tone. We haven't actually seen him as a ghost yet, but we know that he is.

How do we know Liu Kang is actually a zombie? or ghost? maybe in an alt costume...but I believe his storyline will dictate that he's alive, not a ghost, or zombie.
Of the little gameplay footage I've seen of Kang, he looks like his normal self.
I don't believe Zombie Liu, or Ghost Liu is something that's going to be considered storywise...but just more for effect, and a cool alt costume....I believe he's alive now.

Midway confirmed he's in some kind of dead state, and we have seen his sub-lifebar pic, which shows his face with greenish skin.
If that weren't enough, "Liu Kang's Tomb" appears to be one of the stages of the game.

From what I have seen, in just pure gameplay, he looks very alive to me.
The fact that there's a stage referred to as Kangs Tomb doesn't mean he's a "dead man walking"....Cages tombstone may very well appear in the graveyard stage...but he's been brought back to life many times between MK 3, and present day.
We'll just wait and see, but I believe the Kang we're getting is resurrected...and considered "alive"...with his zombie form just being an alt...that's just my guess...I don't believe zombie liu is a seperate entity in the game...and to be honest, I think it would be somewhat lame, to waste two spots for just one character who I was never in love with to begin with.

Yes, Kitana died, and rumor has it that Frost, Sonya, Kung Lao, and Johnny Cage r also dead; but if Kitana was brought back as a bodyguard then maybe they were too!!!

It is not a graveyard stage.It is called Kangs tomb literally.So no,you will not see cages grave there.It was already announced that he was in zombie/ghost form.That vid was not a complete game.So it seems deception has deceived already hasn't it?
