It is Cyborg Smoke. Look at the head piece/mask/helmet. It is the same as the cyborg mask in MK3.

But look at his body, it is like smoke...

No, I know they're two characters in one kinda thing...but Smoke himself is an individual entity, we already know what you said so that's why the answer sucked :/

Smoke isn't a cyborg. He's an ethereal Smoke entity covered in ninja armor. An extremely good idea, if you ask me.

But I will admit that his mask does resemble that of a cyborg.

Now that I think about it, his body may not be that of a cyborgs, but that mask definitely is a portion of his MK3 cyborg helmet.

I think hybrid isn't a totally off the wall term. They are tag team character but don't some of the speical moves incorperate both of them at the same time, so that's still a hybrid to a degree.

actually.. i wouldnt really say they are a hybrid. doesnt hybrid mean to combine two different things to produce something new? thats like saying me and my brother are a hybrid basketball team. doesnt really make sense. but o well

I wish it was robo-smoke, but elemental Smoke is better than no Smoke at all.

Of you look at his mask, it does look like his robot one(Atleast from the view we have been given so far.)He is wearing a ninja suite and where the black parts of his old costume shown are now invisible with smoke like gas.

isnt noob saibot an entity created from tortured souls from the netherealm? i swear i read that somewhere about him in a biography from a long time ago... also, remember that it says that cyber smoke's soul is nothing but a memory now? maybe this smoke IS smoke's soul, and maybe noob promised to help him get his body back somehow so they formed and alliance? of course, i could be wrong, its just a guess

I don't think it looks very Cyborg-y... look at cyrax or sektor and compare them... his "head gear" looks closer to Sub' than the cyber ninjas'..
