We've established that the E3 character select screen was a bust. Thanks to the website metas we know the identities of the 25 main characters in DE, which are:

1. Ashrah
2. Baraka
3. Bo' Rai Cho
4. Dairou
5. Darrius
6. Ermac
7. Hotaru
8. Jade
9. Kabal
10. Kenshi
11. Kira
12. Kobra
13. Li Mei
14. Lui Kang
15. Mileena
16. Nightwolf
17. Noob Saibot
18. Raiden
19. Scorpion
20. Shujinko
21. Sindel
22. Smoke
23. Sub-Zero
24. Tanya
25. Havik (formerly known as Skab)
(I'm just guessing, there's just as likelyhood his name is Onaga)
(26 / Sub Boss). Onaga (probably the Chimera mentioned at E3)
(27 / Final Boss). The Dragon King

Now, for my own guesses, these are all probably plotless holdovers from DA:
28. Sektor
We know the original screen was a lie in some respects, but based on the heads we can deduce that Sektor (or someone with a cyber ninja head) is coming back in some capacity. Although if he IS back, that means Onaga is most likely the rumored Shokan, since they were both mentioned by the same source.

29. Jax
We've heard a crap load about Jax, and his "aww yeah" sample can be heard during the Puzzle Kombat section of the latest trailer.

30. Sareena / Quan Chi
And this is only a guess based on wether or not they want to make it a nice round number totally.

Any thoughts?

Globally agree too...

But for Sektor, Jax, Sareena and Quan Chi, I would prefer waiting to see screens or confirmations on official site... :/

I think Skab is Onaga and he's from Chaosrealm and that Havik is from Orderrealm.

Uh, no, that isn't the confirmed list. That was just what was written in the source. If that's the complete list, then there are 24 roster characters, one boss, and two others who we only know names of. But, we know there will be at least over 30. And as Quack-Wabbit said, Havik (Skab) would be one of Darrius' allies. You all need to think a little before spouting off rumors and other fairy tales.

everyon of the select screen that is darkened out is an unlockable charatcer, while the characters not revealed yet will be the real hidden character.

if you remember when MKDA came out, in the instruction manual, it had little bio's on all the fighters exect blaze and mokap.

by my definitions-
unlockalbe character are character you know are their you just can't play with them yet

hidden characters are characters you have no idea they exist until you make them playable, or find there boi in the krypt.

There will be 25 characters I assume, thus the reason why the kollectors editions come with 25 character bios. There will be more than 25 characters, but thats including secret characters (like Mokap).

You don't know that Skabs name is onaga for sure. For all we know he can be secret because in the new video we saw someone fighting Kira...Sareena?? She isn't on the list maybe that guy that looked like a knight is Havik.

Don't jump to conclusions like that. There are only 24 characters on the current select screen.

Hell, we might not even get bios for the new guys, because they might not have a lot of info.

Skab became either Havik, either Onaga, and that of these two that he won't be will be probably the sub-boss, "Chimaira"...

if there is gonna be 25 characters then it is gonna have to be 5 by 5 but i doubt they are gonna do that and if they keep the one they have (8 by 3) now the extra hidden perosn is just going to be popping off the side and that wouldn't look right and it wouldn't go on the bottom because it doesn't have too much space...soooo there has to be 24 and the extras will be secret....and they have 2 months to go so Skabs name doesn't neccissarily have to be onaga or havik those could be their own character and skab could get a new name
And also that character list atop would have to be 28 because you put onaga on when you talked about skab but didn't give him a number so that's 28 people and then th e people at the bottoms come in as secret sektor, quan......

I think that so much of what we think we know is based on speculation. Frankly, I thought Skab was a dead rumour or a Noob Saibot/Ermac alt until I saw him in puzzle kombat in the trailer.

We should probably wait on Havik and Onaga. Anyone remember how the MK Team fooled people by putting "Kano Transformations" into the MKII counter?

This could be the same crap, but different pile.

Ya exactly DMitch 24 and 1 DK = 25 but not everyone agrees with us but we can't win them over we tried though.

We are all clueless to who Onaga is we just saw his name on the offcial sites meta tag.

Was Havik already mentioned having some connection to Darrius? If so, Skab is definately Onaga, and Havik must be someone else entirely.

The fact that the E3 screen has 24 boxes on it means nothing. Boon said not only was that screen false, but that they would be adding characters to the roster.

That said, everybody we've seen in is the trailers is listed in the Meta tags even if we haven't been "formally" introduced to them by Midway staff.

The only exceptions are Skab who hasn't been given a name except by that German article, which midway said was out of date, so his name is probably changed.

And Havik who I guess has been mentioned but remains unseen. We know who everyone else is, so clearly there are either 25 or 26 default "boxes" on the finalized character screen, depending on if Havik / Onaga is Skab, another playable, or the Chimera.

yeah, I can't remember if it was in the 10 questions or in the daily logs, but Boon said something about having a Moloch / Goro for this game.
