I doubt they really meant saying that. If it's been confirmed so many times about the roaster being in the mid 20s then it's in the mid 20's. I'm sure they just said that probably to throw us all off and make everyone go nuts again.
It's not that big of a deal to worry about.

I'm going to guess 24 as well, not including bosses. This is Midway we're talking about; they have almost always crammed in as many characters as they can. I really don't expect this to be any different. This is not what MKDA was to MK4. Not even close.

I wouldn't mind 30 flat out also roughly, it's a great number IMO 15 from each side, I think that's a perfect amount personally to get in every "key character" from both universes.
I know DC's roster is like 100X more compared to MK's but, a lot of those characters most people don't know anyway and/or won't be "iconic"

It means that there was a drastic change from MK4 to MKDA. He's saying that MKvDCU won't have a drastic change in gameplay compared to MK4 - MKDA
I'm saying that MKDA looked and played radically different from MK4. This game is obviously more polished and the graphics are better, but we are already seeing reused animations (Sub-Zero's teleport, Superman using Jun Fan style after close combat). This game is still borrowing stuff from the last gen games, whereas MKDA was completely new. The only reason MKDA had as many characters as it did was because they actually spent a lot of time redeveloping the fighting engine. They don't seem to be doing that so much this time. Thus, more characters ala MKD totals can be expected.

I honestly disagree with that....dial ups are gone, so automatically that will alter gameplay, "speed wise" I think a lot of people are judging since it's similar "it'll be the same" but I don't think so honestly, this game seems to be more based around counters, grapples, different cam views, special moves and custom juggles where as MK:DA/MKD/MKA was dial ups, and had multiple styles that altered gameplay tactics, this game will wind up playing IMO nothing like the past few MK's...
more special moves for one, custom combos secondly and thirdly it's like a 3D MK2/MK4 in terms of moves, fighting engine similarity, grapples, bone snapping moves etc.
We still have to wait it out to learn more though.

Just because dial ups are gone doesn't mean similar combos or even the same combos wont be possible. They did reuse certain animations for Klose Kombat, which makes me question how it'll play.

Yeah, this game is going to be different, but it's recycling things from MKA. Not a ton of things, but some. MKDA was completely different from MK4 in every way.
MKDA was completely different from the first for games
MKvDCU is different from the latest games, but still has some similarities.
