I've heard people saying he will be. Where's the proof. And don't say the achievements list. That achievement was for unlocking Shao and Darkseid, and it doesn't mean you actually UNLOCK Dark Kahn

There is no evidence. But there's no evidence he won't be either.

For the sake of the game's balance, I hope he's not playable.

As a boss, its acceptable, but we all know how MK bosses are done. They have the advantage over all characters. At least, normally. Deadly Alliance wasn't much of a boss, and Armageddon had playable bosses. The main boss should be that unplayable, tough to beat character.

I agree that the boss should never be playable. They should be intimidating and how can they be intimidating when you can play as them?

In Soul Calibur 4, Al Gore is playable even though he is supposed to be the big bad boss, or one of them at least. And in Soul Calibur 3, we got Abyss, who was also playable....but Night Terror...woah, intimidating, big, and bad!

As stated before, the bosses being unbalance was INTENTIONAL in MKA. Goro and Kahn were like regular characters in MKD. So that being said, he should be playable as long as they balance him out. And if you think him being playable will ruin his aura of intimidation then just don't unlock him.

i liked that though. i hate a boss that can just roll over you. i prefer them to be closer to regular characters but maybe with a few added bells and whistles.

About Me

When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yes sir, the check is in the mail."

Jack Burton doesn't care whether Dark Kahn is playable or not...

I have a friend who will only fight me with MK's boss characters because he can't beat me with any other characters. I admit it does even out the playing field, but it forces me to play that much better to beat his overpowered character. I say bring Dark Kahn on; I will enjoy adapting my style to crush him.

And THAT'S what Jack Burton has to say at this time.

I think you should at the least be able to unlock him after beating the game with every character.

And his use would be just for fun.

If he's unbalanced then he doesn't need to be playable. Imagine playing against him online and you can't even hit him with a projectile. THINK people......THINK! I might not play with him but it doesn't stop others from doing it.

I dont know...
like some of the ppl here, i think playing as the boss Characters isnt as fun as the other characters. they lose alot of fluidity to them... If Shao Khan and Darkseid oare playable, then fine but not DARK KHAN!

Hopefully he is not.

And if he is, hopefully you can only get him after completing the game a 100%.

You know, make it a fun challenge.
