Well it'll be different per character. We've seen Hotaru snap his own neck. Yeah I agree...no one will be pulling a fatality on me.

I wouldn't describe it as a Kamikaze, because doesn't that entail damaging the enemy as well? Hari Kiri involves you killing yourself rather than letting your enemy kill you, and doesn't involve damaging the other enemy at all, other than possibly their pride.

Personally I think the whole idea is cheesy, all that time that has been made into making the fatalities just so you can get out of them so easily.

Admitily I haven't seen many of them so I'll decide on them when I've seen some, maybe if they MK themed (Sub-Zero freezing himself into a ice cube etc.) but just snapping your neck (hotaru) doesn't do it for me.

Correct me if im wrong but boon said that you can to the kira on ya self if the other does the fatality.

If you check out the trailer of Deception where Cyrax does it, the guy next to him is actually wobbling around as cyrax has to do the fatality!

I think its cool actually now the dazed guy can do stuff i don;t have to slam the control down and watch it happen i can stop it lol.

Sorry about that. Hotaru in the trailer breaks his neck while there is a dazed guy next to him. check it out.........I understand the whole concept of before getting a fatality on you, you can commit.....

You can do all sorts of stuff however, official concepts of it have not been confirmed yet!

in MK history, Rain went on a suicide mission to defeat Shao Kahn... this is basically a kamikaze, because he knew he would most likely die attempting to take down the more powerful Kahn

Towards the end of World War II, Japanese pilots would crash their planes into American air craft carriers and battleships hoping to severely damage or even sink them. Those were kamikaze attacks. The closest relation to that kind of attack would be the modern day suicide bomber. Pearl Harbor was not a kamikaze or suicide attack because there was no plan to kill themselves in the process. It was just a sneak attack.

Actually, the attack on Pearl Harbor was out of desperation. The Japanese were in a lengthy war with China, and needed resources in order to survive. The US was mostly neutral in this conflict, but unofficially supported communist China, by making it difficult for Japan to obtain resources (such as oil). Japanese figher pilots knew that they did not have enough fuel to fly from Japan to the west coast and back for a sucessful stealth attack. Nor did they have enough ammunition for every jet to amount much damage to Pearl Harbor. Thus, many pilots purposely crashed into their target in a kamikaze attack.
