I wholeheartedly agree. I never knew how cheap some people could be until MKD came out. Some people should have some Kombat Etiquette.

It's a move. A Legal Move.
You can get around it somehow.
People did the same thing MK I and II. You just have to stand up to them and put them in their place.

I can not STAND the non stop throwers that do nothing but use their throw move through the whole match. I mean its ok for like once or twice a round but the only damage they are giving is through throws which is annoying.

I try to have fun when I play MK. I could be owning some dude, and instead of being an asshole and ripping his fun away, I let him up. It's a mistake though cause hell do some teleport/attack thing until you die. I could be cheap, but where the hell is the fun in that. Screw rankings.

I come online to have fun, because playin the comp gets frustrating. I can beat it most of the time on Hard, but I can come online and beat high ranks. It's fun to play an actual person, but when they do the same move over and over again, it's even more frustrating than the comp. I'll admit, if a certain move is getting through, I'll use it more than once, but I won't spam it over and over and over and over! My combos for example...I'll hit the same one every chance I get if he's not blocking it. But a 10 button combo is different than tapping R1 :(. Please be more original! It's funner, we promise!

Sorry but I just had to say this. Would you rather do a combo on a blocking opponent or throw to actually do some damage? I mean seriously why would you waste your time on doing combos to someone that is blocking instead do a throw which can set up combos. I've been playing all week just probably as all of you have and when im playing against my friend it is usually blockfest 2004 but I always get the upper hand by using the throws. They also gave you breakers to use btw just incase you hadn't noticed.

I had a buddy over on Saturday and we were taking turns online, and we fought this one guy who kept using Mileena which I had no problem with...until I saw how this person fought.
This person kept using Mileena's teleport kick and if it didn't hit he'd/she'd throw you...it was really fucking cheap and annoying and it was all this person WOULD DO! But we both beat the hell out of he/she it was like...6/1 lol

yeah, people like that just dont know how to have fun. It's easy to counter their moves once you understand them. For example, this one guy was using noob-smoke's teleport offscreen and back...inscreen move....yeah im not good with names....so I just retreat in the opposite direction and get ready to block cuz i know he's gonna use that move. A lot of people do that with noob. Ha ha get it, Noob...im not good with jokes either. As for throwers, go on the offensive, since u cant block them. And get a kick ass fatality ready at the end, just to annoy the shit out of em!

it is annoying but it only pisses me off when they alternate special moves. Like with Kobra they'll do low fireballs and when you duck to block they will do the teleport punch. and keep doing these moves over and over. And once they beat you a round they wont fight you again so you dont learn their cheap tricks.
The other thing that is annoying is people that duck and just kick. and you cant attack them or throw them or do a spcecial move.

i WOULD have fun online if i could actually get on....it pisses me off to no end that I cant get online with my ps2..
I've tried a lot of different methods to connect to the PS2 server to play
online in MK Deception(by the way, I'm at school in my dorm):
I put in all my IP information for the network, and tried to connect...It
worked, I was able to connect, but when I registered a username and
password, I couldn't get past the "downloading stats" part because the
game would say "server not responding. please try again later".
I then bought a router to route my connection from my PC to the PS2
(because I thought this problem was likely due to the firewall at my
college...so If i routed the connection it would work) and still got the
same problem. I even manually set the router to forward the ports that the
instruction manual said to, and it STILL wont let me login to the MK
server.. I dont know why this is, because it's not like the game doesn't
let me connect .. it says connected at the top of the screen, i just cant
get into a room...

The good tyhing is that if they use the same move over and over again each time it takes away less energy from you... so they end up just waisting your time...

some of you people need to realise that you've just entered the realm of the Hardcore gamer, if you people are going online to have "fun" then you're going to be beaten quite severely.
If certain moves have advantages that others don't, what's the point of using the useless ones, blame the programmers for making 5% of the available moves useful.

some of the reason people are so cheap is cus the only thing they care about is making their ranking go higher. If there was an option to play online without it affecting your ranking or win/loss record then it would be easier to find people to have fun with.

Lol, I faced this one guy and he was using kobra...he beat me 7/0 and then I finally got fed up and chose kobra and came back 6/7...rofl. If people use attack strategies over and over...just memorize what they do and u can whoop their ass.

Yes you can attack them when they are ducking. You should do what I did and find out what moves your character can do to to hit a ducking opponent. It may force you to use a more difficult style to use in that situtuation but at least you will fully learn the characters full roster of moves to be a more effective fighter. Just play a versus 2 player game by yourself and make the 2nd player character duck, then go through your characters moves one by one to see which ones will hit at mid level. Mid level attacks cannot be blocked while ducking and will always hit your opponent when they are ducking.
Every character that I experimented with has an overhead attack move to crush a ducking fool. Take my advise and you will find that you have stepped up your game tenfold.

Either play it and accept what may come...
Or dont play it and save the rest of the pain of readin ur fucking whining.
