Somthing happened last night.............

ok...............listen, if you wanna believe me you can but if not you dont have to. but last night I was playing kombat for a long time (only arcade mode) so after many rounds I went into the crypt to spend all of my koins..........after about 20 mins I ran out of couns and I was just about to leave when I noticed 2 extra coffins at the back of the room (past the "z" row), both brown and both with their own spot lights. The weird thing is that they were un marked....the type of koin and ammount was covered up. I tried to open them but it said that I did not have enough koins to afford this coffin(because i had already spent all of my money).

So thinking that I would just come back tomorow with all the koins in the world and open the mystery coffins. I shut the game off and went to bed......today I turned on the game and the coffins were not there....so then i started thinkin that last night i un-knowingly opend some kind of secret. If I did open some kind of secret all I can say is that I spen all night playing in arcade mode.....thats all i know....maybe this is just really old news and you are gonna laugh your ass off at me.....either way i would like to know what the hell is going on.
I think that's the "mysterious coffin glitch".
It happens in the US version I think.
The coffins cannot be bought, though I wouldn't know much, I've got the PAL version.

Well, this isn't really new news (we saw this a couple months ago and has kinda been looked over since no one could make anything of it), but I think it's still something worth looking into more.

Do you remember about what time it was when this happened. Other people had mentioned it happening at a certain time of the night. (But probably has nothing to do with 12:43).

Somebody posted a couple pics of these extra koffins, so I'm not doubting you at all about this... Just no one has been able to open them.

If you have two profiles, don't forget you can wager your koins without losing any and make koins really fast. Just hit the wager button on one of the controllers and hit up to change total, left and right to change color.

Isn't there any way to get these extra koffins for sure? I mean, there has to be a way to see them without just having luck. Can't anybody figure out what brings these koffins up?

Look, I can help you get those two coffins back. It is really simple! All you have to do is erase your entire game. You will lose everything you worked hard for, but I promise that it will be worth it. Then go into the Krypt at 12:43 p.m., and the two coffins will be behind the Z roll with the lights shining on them.
While your at it, Don't forget to open up these special coffins for a super secret that will allow you access into the right passageway at the main menu screen:

"YO" "UR" "AN" "ID" "IO" "TF"
"OR" "ER" "AS" "IN" "GY" "OU" "RG" "AM" "EY" "OU" "DO" "RK"

It could have happened anywhere between 11:30 and 2:30.........I did not enter the krypt till arround 2:00am!

Speaking of time, has anyone ever been as crap as I am (on MAX level) and played a single 'Arcade' game for over an hour? I don't mean an hour in real-time, I mean an hour as measured by the game.
Well, an extra two digits pop up on the time counter to measure the hours.

Well what I did was I turned on my PS2, set the clock to about 12:40, then put in the MKDA disk and went into the krypt and waited....and waited and waited........saw no coffins beyond the Z row. Is this for real or what?
There doesn't seem to be any space for anymore coffins beyond the Z row. If they were indeed real, what were was written on them?

I know it looks like there is no room but when they were there the room got a little bigger to accomidate for the extra koffins but what ever that really dosent matter. Im not sure if the 12:43 has anything to do with it at all. I think it has somthing to do with who you fight and where and then what koffin you open up after.


I know that I only used kenshi, kung lao, scorpion, sonya, and sub zero in arcade mode on the hard setting........and i also know that i did sub zero's then bo' rai cho's konquests then i went into the krypt and spent a hell of alot of koins and thats when i noticed the extra koffins.

So if you can figure out "exactly what i did then, right on.

Ok, listen. I tried this a month ago, but I didn't have the extra koffins in the krypt at the time. Anyway, what I did was get all my koin totals to equal 1243. I used the koin cheat in 2 player mode to give myself an exact amount of koins. Like if a koffin was worth 234 or something, I would add 234 to 1243 and I would have 1477 entering the krypt. I would then buy the koffin worth 234 and then that koin total would equal 1243. I did this for all the different koin types. But again, I didn't ever have those extra koffins available. So maybe if all your koin totals equal 1243, then the koffins would be made available. Just a thought...

stop being stupid
this has been confirmed as a glitch several months ago

it has nothing to do with time, its random. use the seatch feature to find the old thread about this, i believe it was minuszero that posted the pics.

PAL version is the European version of the game.
NTSC is the american.

NTSC versions do not work on the European televisions or consoles without a converter, or something along those lines. Basically, it's just the European version.

All PAL versions say "PAL Version" on the game box.
