What classic special moves for returning characters do you think should have been put in MKD that weren't? Also, what returning special moves are poorly implemented, in that they aren't effective, or just look stupid? Here are my opinions:
Moves that should have returned:
Sindel's Float: This was given to Ermac (sans movement), and while I suppose it fits him, Sindel kinda lacks moves, and her Ankle Grab is just stupid. Her float should have returned with full 3d mobility.
Sub-Zero's Ice Shaker: This MKDA move was pretty cool.
Smoke's Stealth Mode: Granted, Noob has his own invisibility move, but IMO it fits Smoke better.
Noob's Clone Throw: This was one of Noob's coolest original special moves in UMK3/MKT, and it would have been a better double team move than his We Live.
Poorly implemented moves:
Scorpion's Teleport Attack: Scorp had the TelePunch from MK1-MK4; why suddenly replace it with a kick?
Sub-Zero's Ice Clone: Yea, it's nice to have it back, but it doesn't seem very effective. Or maybe I'm just using it wrong.
Jade's Razor Ring: It just seems small and weak.
Baraka's Flying Shard: This move always just seemed weird to me. What does he do exactly, cut off a piece of one blade with the other and somehow send it flying? Maybe Baraka just isn't a character who lends himself well to projectiles.
Sindel's Star Screamer: This fireball just looked pathetic. It was way better in MK3.
Kabal's Raging Flash: Seems to have lost something since its MK3 days.
I won't even get into the new characters' special moves; most of them just suck.

I find Baraka's projectile pretty damn good. As far as projectiles go, it does very high damage and it really doesn't have a terrible delay. I find it works really well agains the AI. Baraka does massive dmg and quickly with his specials. I havn't played another person with Baraka but as far as CPU goes, Baraka is a very good guy to use - especially in "Beat someone in 15 seconds".

I didn't mean the Flying Shard wasn't effective, I just don't like it conceptually and aesthetically. And for the record, Baraka is one of my favorite characters in MKD.

I agree on Jade's razorang... It takes too long too.... I was hoong it would have been like kung lao's hat in DA...
Yah... I don't see why they did not give float to sindel!!! she floats when she wins and when she gets up!!! Also... she is missing her hair throw.. it would have looked so damn good in 3 d...
But I like her star screamer... it's pretty usefull to me!
Also, Noob does need more moves... he is unbalanced with smoke... He should get the clone throw... or at least send smoke reuning and grabbing the opponent... although I find "We Live" MAD usefull.... I lovve it...
I also agree on scorp... the kick sux cause when it's blocked it's much more time consuming than the punch... and also easier too see and uppercut...
What I think should have also been back is Kabal's ground saw.... instead of that crappy nomad's touch........
Although I think they did a GREAT job with the special moves of Kenshi, Baraka, Mileena( although I wish she would lift her leg in the classic osition for the sai throw... but iu can't get everything...), and ESPECIALLY Raiden... they did an AWSOME job with Raiden...

I would like to see Sub-Zero's ice puddle move return. It could be like Bo' Rai Cho's puke attack except your opponent slips on the ice and goes "Woah, woah!" Nightwolf should have that move where he summons those green energy things up. I also like Noob Saibot's move where he drops under the stage, comes back up, grabs you, and slams you on the floor. What would make me really happy is if they brought "Brutality" back. Those were my favorite fatalities but they were freakin' hard to do. I just love looking at the characters do insane combos and then make your head explode.
