Reading through the NEW GamePro, issue number 193 with Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 on the cover, I came across a quote from the article AND Ed Boon:

From the article about Deception on page 38:

With all of Deception's varied games and modes, some aspects of Deadly Alliance were left on the sidelines, such as the Test Your Might and Sight intermissions during Arcade mode. "Puzzle Kombat and Chess are kind of hyper versions of Test Your Might and Test Your Sight," says Boon. "We had them in the game for a while, but there were so many different things that we didn't want the fighting game to become, say, one of 30 different games."

With that being said, it is safe to assume the team had the Might/Sight worked out, but removed it last minute to allow chess and puzzle to stand out as the main mini games. This leaves me to beleieve that Gamecube owners will get these features in lue of Online play...what do y'all think?

I liked Might and Sight in DA. Especially how you could see the characters close up and in their costumes in different non-fighting angles. Plus, some of the cutscenes were funny, such as when Bo rai used his head to smash things and when characters DIDNT break the material their arms or legs were all tweaked....but best of ALL is when you played with a friend and you chosse wisely and they didnt, your character would punch the looser on screen.

This doesn't make the game an attractive sell to people who own an X-box and a Gamecube.

Keep in mind, Midway wants to lure in the MK fan, who ALREADY owns MK: Deception, for X-box or PS2...and owns a gamecube.

I have a PS2...and a gamecube, so of course, I'm getting MK: D on October 4th for the PS2...what motivation do I have to buy MK: D for the Gamecube in first Q 2005? I have 0 motivation...if those are the bonuses....they won't be getting any extra buyers, other than the minority of MK fans, who only own a gamecube.

Other than that, there was nothing in that little blurb or interview with Boon to suggest that might be the "bonuses" being thrown into the GC version.
