There could very well be a tie-in with Sonya somehow. I'm not at all sure how they would be related if they are at all. There sure are alot of similarities between the two though. You can't deny that.

im sorry but thats not enough substantial proof to indicate that there connected. look at Mavado and Kabal for example. Kabal is holding the hook swords the same way as Mavado but im sure they didnt teach each other that. same with scorpion and hotaru. oh uh, hotaru fights the same way that scorpion did in mkda with pi gua!! scorpion must have taught him that... im sorry but i dont see why people would be connected through their fightings styles. appearances and special moves are a different matter. want one more example? nightwolf and sonya. GODDAMN THEY BOTH HAVE TAE KWON!!!

I see what you are getting at, and while i respect your opinion, i was just trying to SPECULATE on the fact that they look alike, in both hair and facial structure. He might be in the tournament on her behalf, who knows? All im saying is that they are similar, and maybe that just means he REPLACED her spot for this part of the series, as sonya was a fan favorite amoung some people, but she felt old, so they replaced her with Kobra.

alright. i just didnt see anything commented by you about the appearance, but more around the fighting style. but i do agree with the appearances, but more along the lines of johnny cage. i dont see kobra having a interested story line though. he looks pretty cool and his moves are awesome from what i could see, but he does look like a johnny knock-off. he looks more determined and serious than johnny but im sure his story is going to follow cages in a quite similar fashion. he could possibly be johnny cage's student, trying to save his master. sorry if i sounded like i was biting your head off back there.

in the mk1 comic book, for sonyas profile on known relatives it sais that she had a twin brother named daniel and that he was deceased, maybe in this game it shows that he didnt die, it is called deception after all, if you dont believe me see for yourself, the whole mk1 comic book is unlockable in the crypt in mk:da

He and Sonya do look very similar; same hair colour, weapon, and Kobra is definitely an alias.. unless his parents were under some sort of influence when naming their son.

Kobra can just be his code name, or the name given to him. He probably IS the long lost brother of Sonya, but was thought dead, only to be alive and trained in martial arts. hahaha, sounds so goofy, even as i type this.

Seriously, if Sonya had a brother, maybe this is him. Kobra is his code name, and maybe Daniel Blade is his real name. We will soon find out.

What does it say about her brother??? if e was mentioned in dA (even in konquest) then there is a big chance...

It has his name listed in the game booklet for MK1 under "known relatives"

It's definetly a possibility. They r brought Lui Kang back, so why not bring Sonya's brother. Kobra is just his nickname and it comes from his tattoo on his body and on his hoody.

I think it would be a very interesting and new twist for Sonya’s story if her brother returned .and even more if her brother was EVIL.

Before, I disliked Kobra a lot (mainly cause of the “ben” thing), but now, after watching him fight, I think he will kick ass.

I once again like the idea of Kobra being Sonya’s evil brother .wait, maybe not.

This would be great if it happened. If Kobra was really Daniel Blade, it would set up a lot of drama in MK. If he was evil, it would be even better! I like the theory and given the way Kobra looks, it is very possible.

A lot would need to be revealed as to why he was reported as being dead and what he has been doing all his life. I think this theory has potential to be great.

Maybe we can rearrange the letters in Sonya Blade, or her familys names,and Daniel Blade. Which probably wont work in any way, but its worth a try on my part
