You don't have to agree with my opinion, I just don't like the idea.

What I mean by having him be his own character is just that, be his own character. He doesn't need to be someone's brother to be interesting or have a storyline related to Sonya's to be in Outworld. He's more than likely a reinforcement of some kind to Earth's fighters, or hell, he might have been in Outworld since DA with the original attempt to stop the DA. He can have his own rivalries and own reason for being in Outworld, he doesn't need Sonya.

I'm not saying Tgrant's idea is bad, I just don't think it's very likely and I personally am not fond of the idea.

If you really need a way to keep Sonya's story fresh then why not do more with her rivalry with Frost? DA did a horrible job explaining just why the hell they were rivals in the first place so that's one way to boost Sonya's story.

Oh, I wasn't trying to be rude or attack you by my post at all, and to an extent I agree with you. :] I just hope with this new character he has a valid reason for being there, and not something half-assed like with Li Mei's in DA, you know? Anyway.. they really could do a better job explaining individual character's places and stories in the games, in my opinion. Sonya is just one that seems to be getting tossed on the back burner in the recent two games. I doubt they even thought of her twin in making Kobra, as I said before, and I agree that the possibility of it being true is very far fetched. I'm very curious to see why the hell Frost is her rival, but it looks like the female Lin Kuei ninja is another not being talked about in Deception. But I could be wrong there, so we'll just have to wait and see.

BTW, Sonyas brother doesnt have to be dead in order to return. He could have been "dead", but on reality, he has always been alive and hiding for some reason.

I personally am all for Kobra being Dan Blade, it a fresh twist to Sonya’s story and it gives him an interesting reason to be in this game. Remember Sonya was recently spotted in the prison stage that makes it even more possible for this scenario to actually be true.
I would also prefer a love- hate relation ship between them, they would be the first official twins of MK. Technically Mileena was not Kitana’s twin, shang-tsung made her.
This would be a great direction for Sonya’s story and it will benefit alot of characters particularly Jax, Johnny and the rest of the Special Forces.

I was so convinced that Sonya was not going to be in deception and now its looking a bit different.

Kobra might be Daniel!

Besides, remember Sonya had that nick name in the movie:

"Black Hawk" or "Eagle".

So, Daniel could use "Kobra".

*I know the movies dont really tie with the games but MANY things from the movies have been used in the games.

IF this theory about Kobra and Sonya are related....that would be sooooo AWESOME!!!
