Spilt blood and clothing effects

I was playing MKDA and realised that the blood on clothes effects need improving! I was using Raiden in his first outfit and I noticed the blood trickling down his leg. It eventually reached the bottom, faded and disappeared. The problems there was no absorption by his white pants and not even a trail of blood left. His pants are completely white! If they are planning on adding ripped clothing and a new blood texture, they should show blood being absorbed by the characters clothes and leaving blood trails on the skin and clothing. Its a minor thing, but its just another bit of detail.
Also, when characters are knocked down to the ground, they should immediately be covered in blood if there is a load on the floor. Blood doesnt just instantly dry. And since it should be wet when it hits the ground, maybe you could slip in it if you move your character too quickly or something.
Your thoughts?

Actually, as the blood fades, it is getting smaller. So, all that needs to be added are the blood marks. That would be the abdsoprtion covered.
good thought, my bad

That would be cool if they would spit blood when they get punched in the face or summtin. Also like u said that blood should stain or summtin

The blood that hits the ground needs improvement over MKDA. It would be cool to see the blood with more fluidity and not so gloppy like in DA, but what the hell either way the game will still kick ass especially since there are multiple fatalities and death traps.
First of all, I know from my sources the blood effects with remian for the most part the same, however they will have added effects and be improved upon. Secondly, there will be advanced battle damage, wear and tear on the characters bodies. Such as ripping of clothing, dirt and blod stains, bruises, scartches, you name it they are doing. Of course the damage is not real time, but progressive. The longer the match lasts the more damage is visible. I'm very satisfied with this, the people who aren't should stand back and look at the big picture the MK team is trying to accomplish with this game.
I was gonna post about the ripped clothing!! In MKDA that was one of the first features mentioned and it never happend, now with MK:D there hasn't been a word said about it. Maybe they wanna surprise us
But if what you say is true (and there's no reason for it not to be) then that's great

Progressive damage? "Like" WWE Smackdown! Here Comes The Pain? This is cool, tremendously cool!

If your sources are good then I'll be very happy to see all of that! Although I hope the promises don't become idle and become fiction like with MKDA!

Why didn't Tgrant get Dragon points! I mean, he started the thread. He first and foremost should get more points than anyone else.
Anyway, I think the MK team has wanted to advance the blood effects since MKII, but always felt it was too tedious to even consider. I can live with the instant-vaporizing blood, but seriously, they need to implement red clothing stains if they're going to take the time with bruised and bloody faces or ripped clothes. It shouldn't that difficult, but I wouldn't know as I'm not a programmer.

the clothing effects would be cool, the face textures in da where cool, so why dont they just do that with the clothes. it may be harder but oh well it would look great!

Thanks for your support bro! The Dp's aren't a big deal I guess.
Anyway, I think the same thing. It really shouldn't be difficult to put a few blood marks in. Instant vaporising blood was very unrealistic. I like how the blood stays on the ground now. I just hope they have the time to incorporate more blood detail into MKD. It'd be a shame if it wasn't much improved from MKDA.

I though the facial damage in MK:DA was pretty good. The blood looked amazing once it was on the floor. When the blood dripped from the characters , however , it looked too unrealistic. It was like red leeches were running around. As for the ripped clothing , I would like to see it. Lets hope its great.

I agree. The blood looked chunky and awful. I hope they'll fix that to make it watery and thin like it really is.
And thanks Rikimaru.

I dunno about that man. I'm pretty sure in MK:DA that the more you beat on the person the more damage they have. I mean, it' wouldn't make sense for someone who has a flawless victory to be a battered a bruised.

I think he meant more damage would be visible the longer the match went on if they were actually hitting each other.
anyone remember the promo ad for mkda with the three-part image of quan chi and scorpion fighting? quan chi had a bloodied nose which dripped down his shoulder and in the last fram he picked up scorpion by the throat and blood oozed through scorpions mask and down quan chi's forearm!
now that is how the blood effects should be. oh and the pictures looked very much like the final in game characters and not just concepts.

Agreed1 I think they rushed MKDA too much. If it was going to be late on release, they should've had it that way rather than rush it and leave out detail like this. Why show it on a promo movie and then not include it?
Very good observation. I agree 100% on this. It would look pretty cool to see the characters blood stayed marked on the face and cloth.
I like the idea. And I agree about the ground! There should be some kind of pool blood marked there when the character is brutally slammed.

Thanks Queve.
I like the idea of the blood pool mark. It'd be like a huge body outline in the blood on the ground. It gives me an idea. Thanks Queve!
come on people i dont care what they do with the blood and clothes its not a big deal. all i want in mkd is just the darkness of the good old days when u uppercut som1 in the celling of spikes or a pool of acid or into a bed of spikes or u turn into a polar bear and malud the other person. or u pulled down a light clyender thing and it riped the skin of the person, or when u decapted them and pulled their spinal cord out at the same time. then the game has the hardass bosses. not some weakass quan chi shang tshung and shinnok. i got to admit to tgrant yeah it would be great and all just it would be easier on the ps3 we can wait untill 05 or 06 when the ps3 comes out. then we have to wait for mk on it but owell. but tgrant great thought though oh 1 more thing Sub-Zero alltime fav, Night Wolf tied with Sub,Noob Saibot tied with Night and Sub, Cryax with his net fav in MK3, Reptile fav in MK2 they all kick ass yeah
