That sounds pretty cool. Except, it seems like the realms have always been "at war".
Is the Dragon King still around? I think this story would just allow them to use whatever character they wanted without a big explanation.
Like demons from the Netherealm or Vampire People.
And you can have backgrounds anywhere you want, too.

i think its making a huge opening for mk7..mk7 is gonna most likely be one of the best...itl have killer graphics and alot of storys of the characters will finaly be resolved or destroyed...i believe scorpion will kill quan chi in this one and then sub-zero will kill someone...(cant remember his nemesis)...and then in mk7..they will fight and either both die..or make an allience to fight the new enemie and scorps soul will finally rest and sub will poass the torch to someone b4 dying...kang will probebly save the earth YET AGAIN! and live in happiness with kitana...UNTILL THE NEXT GAME!...noob will try to kill smoke but smoke survives and gets revenge in mk7...shinnok will come back and make yet another deadly allience probebly after bringing back SHAO KAHN...reptile will be freed from the dragon kings controll at the end of deception(assuming he is onaga)..and unite with NITARA and join the new deadly allience.sonya and jax will probebly show up out of nowhere st the end of deception and join kang juswt so they will be there for MK7...cyrax will probebly overcome a huge enemie at the end of deception...even tho he isnt in it...they will include a brief discrption of what happened...neway...he defeates the enemie and believes he is alright and everything is ok but out of the blue comes SEKTOR!...and they must battle it out in mk7...kabal and movado will fight for one last time in mk7..sindel and kitana will most likely fight and in cant think of anything for jade or lei may....and raiden will fight shang and shjinnok...shujinko will fight the dragon king and when he beats him, he will die but there will be someone he trained and they will know everybodys moves so they have a shujinko for mk7...goro will be ressurected and fight someone...cant think of anything for rain...baraka will fight quan chi befor scorpion killes him....and i will probebly make another thread for this because its gonna take too long.....but sektor better be in this one or have a huge damn role in mk7...lol...what do you think of these predictions?

I think turning Mortal Kombat into some big RPG/Fighting game; something up Final Fantasy's allie with many series would be too awesome.
I'd love to play a stable, stand-alone, Konquest-type Mortal Kombat game with about 80+ hours of gameplay.

With all of this happening, do you think they will be aiming to close the storyline? To finally end MK?
I mean, I know they said they would keep it going until we got tired of it, but with this happening I personally think they are aiming to finally conclude the MK saga. I mean, what could top an all-out war between the realms?

Nah, I don't think they are planning to end the series right now. I hope they aren't.
I don't know what could top a war of the realms, but I just don't see the end of Mortal Kombat anywhere near now.
They really would get blasted by the fans if the were planning to end the seires this soon.

Maybe if the next Mortal Kombat is in the next few years into the future.

Guys.. this is pointing to a new MK Trilogy style game. A huge war may have all 70 MK characters in it (Including adventure games) That'd be bad ass.

MK7 COULD be the series finale, but they could still make prequels. I'm sure we'd all like to hear the stories of what happened before MK1.
And, yeah, let's not forget more side games. Delve into some of the characters' history a little more.
Still, I'd like MK to end sometime. I believe everything's gotta have an ending.

heaven vs. hell, all out fighting across every single part of the earth. No one will survive. Only one will come out on top and we will finally see who is the all powerful champion of mortal kombat. duh duh duuuuuuuuuuh

This would be awesome and maybe it could be some sort of dynasty warriors twist in one mode. almost like tekkens force mode but not sidescrolling. this would be quite easily possible if they already do it with shujinko. This would be awesome because then there would be a huge battlefield and everyone woudl be everywhere and everything would be everything! lol anyways think about it:
your subzero and your running around. you are surrounded by enemies and some run up to you. you unload some awesome comboes on them and maybe even kick one while freezing another ect. all the sudden alot of men come after you with weapons. so you switch styles and actually see you materialize your kori blade. your kori blade can be out for a limited time because its made of ice, but while it is you are very very deadly.
every character would have their unique thing that they could do (ex. subs more powerful blade but time limited)

the only thing that could hold this kind of awesome power would have to be the ps#. so thank god. MK7 Will be the Ruler of all mortal kombats.

Im sure any of the next gen consoles PS3,XBOX2, ect. will hold whatever they dream up next for now. But I think there will be an MK 7, however there might be 3 or 4 different branches of games... such as mythology type games, or an RPG or something like that in additon to standard mk fighters... Another interesting option would be to develop a 2d line also.
