I don't think the events of Baraka's MKGold ending actually happened, seeing as the confrontation shown it in only happened because Quan Chi succeeded in destroying all life in all the realms, pissing Baraka off enough to attack him.

More than likely Quan Chi was dragged into netherealm before he and Baraka clashed, leaving Baraka on his own. When Quan Chi returned he sought out his old servant to protect him from the Oni and Scorpion.

I think it would be a poor judgement call of Midway to kill Raiden. If they can't even keep a mortal like Liu Kang dead how are they going to keep a god in his grave?

I beginning to think Li Mei was considered for the line-up early on but axed later. The "pics" of her may have been early screens of an outfit that was later recycled into Mileena's alt.

Seem more and more likely we may see Quan Chi afterall.

i want to think he will be playable, but thats only because people on the forum are discussing rumors about a possible multi specied beast as a sub boss. This "beast" would have the head of a lion, tail of a serpeant, and body of a dragon....but i dont remember what they are called.

He can still be noticeably larger than the other fighters. Goro wasn't all that much larger than the other fighters.

Now that everyone has their own stances everyone doesn't have to be the same rough size like in older MKs. I see the new Shokan filling in the much needed "massive oaf/Zangief" character in the MK games. Closest thing we had in MKDA were Jax and Hsu Hao. I do enjoy playing a lumbering thug in fighting games

Personally I hope the new Shokan rumor is true and hope he bares no real resemblance to Goro or Kintaro. Otherwise people will just miss the orginals.

Yea thats true size shouldnt be an issue with the new engine. I also hope he's significantly different than goro and not just some clone.

Goro already has a brother named "Durac" so I'm sure that's who will be in the game. Goro killed Durac to become Prince Goro. It is seen in the original cartoon movie of Mortal Kombat. It also shows what Goro's father looks like. Durac fell from a high ledge to his death so I'm sure he dosn't care about avenging Goro's death! It would be stupid to give him another name so they'll most likely use it.
I'm sure Kitana will be hidden; it would be a big disappointment to a lot of fans if she wasn't playable - which I'm sure they have the common sense to put her in it!

what IF you complete the game by finshing Konquest mode ( or somehting similar like 100 % ) and you have beaten the game with Sindel you UNLOCK Kitana ?

Theory goes that Sindel is in the tournament to free Kitana, as she is being held captive by the Dragon King...if sindel frees her at her ending, and you do something in the game, princess Kitana could become unlocked and fight ?

The plot of the MK video game differs from any movies/cartoons about the series. I wouldn't be surpised to see him named Durac, but don't be suprised if his storyline/appearence is wildly different than shown on the cartoon.

Well, the thing about Goro's brother is true from what I have heard. And if you think you are a hardcore MK fan you should know his name. I'm not telling. lol

Anywho, on to the whole Mileena/Baraka thing. I have no idea if this is true or not, but I'm gonna pretend it is and say what I feel the story (if this is true) COULD be like.

So the trailer says:

"A sinister force hides in the shadows. Obsessed with dominating every realm. Using the trust and loyalty of an ally to take it all... through deception."

So the 'sinister' force IMO is the Dragon King. His ally would be Mileena. Everyone knows that Baraka and Mileena should be allied together.....

So the story could go like this:

The Dragon King promised Mileena power in return if she kills Baraka. So since Baraka and her should be allies, this is where the deception comes into play. She uses their trust and 'loyality' to get to Baraka. Where that leaves the rest of the story, I have no idea. But it sounds good.

He's got a very good reason to go after Quan Chi - he wants his damn amulet back.

Furthermore, he allowed Mileeena to return to life, under the service of Kahn, but secretly working for him.

I hope they change their plans and decide to make kitana a playable character once u beat the game and "rescue" her. Anything could happen, still 6 months away. Kitana does play a role in the game so why not let her be unlockable? PLZ!!

Cage was killed by Kahn's extermination squads(absent during MK3-UMK3). The merger of the realms prevented his soul from going on to rest, so he came back and fought, passing away after Kahn was beaten(MKT). When Shinnok invaded, Raiden restored him to life so he could fight again. He's remained alive ever since.
