Mods - Please do not move this thread, as this is directed towards XBL and PS2 players.

Alright guys, heres the breakdown. CPS3 mother board has been cracked for about a good month now... meaning that Street Fighter 3 is now emulated, and can be played online using Kaillera of course.

I wont provide a rom through the forum because that would result in skulls.. and I dont want that XD.

Mame 0.116 and above (0.117 is out as of right now) are required to play

Me, Versa, and Yayo are there playing that right now. Shits fun as hell... there cant be a better 2-D fighter.


Now.. I wanna see some of this community online playing this shit with us. Makes MKA look like TRASH.

I prefer to get a hold of people using Windows Live (MSN), but either work fine for me.

A decent computer is pretty much required to play.

Yo good lookin out arcade!!!

i been complaining that 3rd strike wasnt online ever since i bought the "street fighter anniversary collection" for my PS2 thanx 4 the lookin out i'll try and get on it sometime soon

Shu Boy, glad to hear from you dude.

I recommend that you get MSN, and hit it up with me, Chris, and Yayo. It has to be the best fighting game that you can play online right now.

Seeing that you've had that Ken avy and sig for so long... I always thought you would jump on a opportunity like this

To everyone else thats slightly interested : Be sure to pick up a controller adapter so that you can play with your PS2 controller.

Unless you have an already exceptional controller.

^yeah dude, I've had my ps2 adapter for a while. I used to play SFA3 with it. LOL, I actually capped a couple of beat downs that i gave to Chris some time ago (my ken and his akuma.) We weren't real good back then but I was learning how to cap MAME games so yeah. Yeah bro,

A decent computer.

3rd Strike was reported to run on a 700 MHZ Intel P3 Processor (Garbage), on EL SEMI's Nebula CPS3 emulator.

Mame is the one that connects to Kaillera though, and is more preferred.


But yeah.. you can pretty much pick up a controller adapter anywhere. That includes Wal-Mart tongue

I know Versa got his from Radio Shack though.

Especially on my new HD 20 inch monitor smile

goes along with a new bloody fast computer.

AMD X2 5600+ 2.8 Dual Core Processors.

3 Gigs of Ram (3070 MB)

And a shit load of other features... but thats the corner stone that should be known. lol

All in all... lets keep this shit fun. Because it sure as hell has been.



Anyway... Heres a brief rundown on how to fix this thing up.

When you get all the required materials :

-- UNZIP the CHD

-- Place the CHD file contents into the original 3S rom.

-- Put that stuff into the rom directory of course.


Remember that you have to have both the Japan NO-CD rom, and the regular 3S rom. Cant just leave one out.

HEY I'm almost there with the set-up.

The only thing that worries me is that it says it gonna take 70 minutes to re-write the CD-Rom.

I cancelled at that point.

Am I on the right track?

Should I let it do the re-write?

I have both the CD and Non cd rom. All in the right directories.

I just don't want to mess up my computer.

Let me know Arcade.

WHAO !! Thats not the right one man.


Laser, on the Mame menu, look at the left column. Do you see where it says: "AVAILABLE " ?

Click that.

It should have two SF3 rom files. Choose the one that says "JAPAN NO CD"(cant remember the rom number at the moment, I'm at work)

Run that.... tell me if it works.

And believe me... Mame wont fuck with your computer unless you download some type of virus without some antivirus protection. But that would be asking for it, lol

I got it now. I had to do the manual browse in the directory through the options menu.

All I need to do is pick up the adapter for my stick and I'm in buisness.
