Well, now it is all but official it seems that Noob-Smoke are the sub boss. Some people seem very irritated with this, but I am not. It seems like a nice direction. Especially considering Onaga will be a big bad motherfucker, having a powerful monster before him would be too much of that type of opponent.

I have an idea, that there might be more than one sub-boss.

A lot of the vibe I have gotten so far, has been MKII nostalgic(don't know about the rest of you). Infact, I think the MK team has been purposely trying to 'connect' this game to MKII, like I think they did with DA and MK1(having Test Your Might..). Remember, when the Deception site first launced, it was VERY similar looking to the MKII intro.

I think, the other sub-boss, might be displayed on the battle plan as either A)a question mark, or B)a blackened out square. If it's true that she is the DK's body guard now, Kitana could be one of the people fightable in this spot. That is right, ONE of. My idea is to have two other characters reserved for this spot as well, also possesed by the Dragon King. I think it would be a great idea for Shang Tsung and Quan Chi to be the other two.

Perhaps, until after all 3 characters are met in Konquest, the player's square just passes this one up and moves on to Noob-Smoke, just as was done with the question mark space on MKII unless you did certain things in the fight before it. Of course, which person you fight would be maybe randomly determined.

What do you guys think?

I like the idea but I'm afraid that Noob - Smoke will be one and only sub boss.

the battleplan is a huge mountain with steps cut into it - as the camera moves up a step, you are confronted by a wall. That wall has a picture of the stage you are about to fight on. The enemy you are to face is standing on the ledge in one their fighting stances. ( if you are player one - they stand on player two's side of the screen and vice-versa)

the bottom of the screen displays the stage name (bottom centre) the kurrency value its to the side of that (either side depending on the player 1 or 2 thing) and the top corner has the playtime and difficulty percentage of the next enemy

Oh really? Well that it is different.

Although I'm sure the MK team could come up with a creative way of presenting a 'mystery spot', even with a design like that.

By the way...that is fucking awesome. I can't believe I missed the description of the battle plan...

wow wow wow
