MKDA messed him up, in my opinion. Aren't Ninjas supposed to be quick assassins, not huge slow boxers. He was strong, but his story as a former ninja should make him quick. The original slide is a quick move plus his other moves make him the perfect ninja type character and MKDA threw the whole ninja thing away. He walked slower then everyone except Bo Rai Cho.

Well, the truth is that I sort of consider Sub-Zero to be a ninja. I suppose the Lin Kuei are ninja-like warriors. I think it would be interesting if they made an MK game that would go through the history of things such as Shao Kahn's origins and the origins of the Lin Kuei, etc.

Anyway, I think Sub-Zero's old look makes him look wiser. I think his slowness is due to his Shotokan style. However in the GBA version of MKDA, his Shotokan moves were quite fast and fluid, not to mention powerful. And I think his alternate costume is awesome!

Any way, Dragon style is extremely fast and ninja-like, in my opionion all his styles should be like that because whether you like it or not, the lin-keiu [or whoever you spell it] ARE NINJAS.

The Dragon style Sub-Zero uses in MKDA is a form of Kung Fu (a chinese martial art). Ninja fighting styles are styles such as Ninjitsu/Ninjutsu and Taijitsu/Taijutsu which are from Japan. So it is quite strange for a Lin Kuei warrior to have a Japanese fighting style such as Shotokan.

I would consider SubZero a ninja. Why would he be considered a lin kui. He left that clan, then the lin kui marked SubZero for death. This question is toward you MisterSatan. So why would you consider SubZero a lin kui rather than ninja.

Umm... in MK:DA, Sub-Zero reformed the Lin Kuei and he became the Grand Master of the Lin Kuei. And I will answer your question to mister_satan666 for you... because, he is Lin Kuei.

Sub-zero is fine. He's fast, and even if he wasn't, ninjas dont have to be fast. If the fighting style requires slow moves, they'll use slow moves.
Oh, and even though Sub-Zero is Lin Kuei, I believe that in his MKDA profile he's considered a ninja. Or was it grandmaster? Either way, I'm too tired to go check out right now.
