We were just discussing that in another topic. I wouldn't pay much attention to it right now. In the early conceptual drawings for MKDA, he didn't have the scar then either. And none of the shots in the game were really clear enough for us to make out whether or not he still has the scar
I personally think thats not the Subby from MK2, i think its Subby from MK1... the other subby will probably be in it... it would be awesome to have them both in one game... is it just me or has anyone else noticed that almost every character in this game has been presumed dead???

Well not dead but at least a distant memory... To be honest with you I thought we saw the last of Ermac, Noob, and others like Smoke and Rain in MKT. Not that I have anything against these guys but I honestly didn't expect to see them again. I am glad for everyone else who loved Ermac and Noob but i never cared for them to much. Good for the everyone else though!

Well, the medallion pretty much makes it evident that it's the newer Subzero. Also, his initial costume looks like that of a headmaster. I think the medallion is making him super-human, and all his old wounds are healing with regeneration. Just my theory.

That is a very good point. You may be on to something there...

Thanks, man. Let's see what the horizon brings for Sub.

I just hope that he shows a much meaner streak this time around and it looks like he will from the early shots of his new look. Do you agree with me that he continually grew softer since his debut in MK2? I still have liked him each time but he seems to have lost that aura about him. I think its back on the rise!

I totally agree with u, he needs to be ruthless to those who pose a threat to those he defends. His new look kicks sum major ass by the way.
And as for it being the other Subby from MK1. I dont think it is, not that i wouldent like it, but if i was to choose itd be the current Subby.
The Scar will prolly be added later or it couldive healed like sum1 said.

I mostly agree. It seems like MKDA portrayed him as sort of an optimist. I want Subzero to be good and just, but more in a more firm way. More like Venom's type of justice, from marvel comics.
But it's best to keep both aspects of him. Brutal to the atrocities red dragon, but sympathetic to Smoke's rape of humanity. We just need to give more of each, and not let either fall flat. I guess that's the best way I can describe it.

Again good point. i agree with ya totally. A mixture of mean combined with his overall good ethics

About Me
Lui Kang was a good start. Sonya would be a good next choice.

Sub-Zero's costume change is rather dramatic and he does not have the scar. What if both brothers were in Deception and fighting for the medallion and leadership of the temple? Just a thought.

trust me it is the older one.

or maybe the scar isnt visible due to his new blue color

sub-zero brothers

sub-zero brothers
the very first time i saw subby in that costume i thought MK1/UMK3 sub zero because he has the skulls on his costume, and they look exactly like the skulls on scorpion's mk5 costume (also undead).. im guessing scarred subby is also in there but they don't want to unveil him yet.. its also pretty obvious by the eyes in the trailer that reptile/dragon king is in the game....

Ok, already I'm kind of excited about this one - looks like it will have the DOA stage interaction that was expected in MK5, hopefully Ed and company will "have enough time" to produce this as a masterpiece of MK rather than what disappointment we were made to cope with in Deadly Alliance.
I think the whole Sub-Zero 1 and 2 fighting for the medallion would be pretty cool, and wouldn't put it past Midway to do just that, but those eyes do tend to make me think Reptile will be the big guy to contend with.

I would like to think this is the original Sub-Zero because he is my favorite but its more than likely the younger Sub-Zero brother-- notice in Rev 1 of MK4 Sub-Zero had no scar on the select screen and in the MKDA concept art he also had no scar.

sub either healed.. or perhapes the original sub lived.. and stole his medalion.. as of now with all the rumors floating around.. any things possible.

Perhaps the original Subby will be a mid boss rather than a playable character.

In konquest mode in MK:DA when you are playin as Sub-Zero it says
Many years ago, SUb-zero's brother(is this the MK1 subby) was manipulated by the sorcerer Quan Chi to retrieve for him an amulet from it's hiding place in Earthrealm. The sorcerer later framed Sub-zero's brother for the death of Scorpions family and clan, which led to his demise at the hands of the enraged ninja spectre, Scorpion.
If Subby's brother is the mk1 subby then there is no chance of him being in MK:De or is there?
