Sub-Zero is getting really old now.Maybe he'll kick the can pretty soon and join the eldergods with Raiden.

His first 1 is ok, unlike all u guys i like his 2nd costume. I think it looks different then anything we have seen. They didnt just make an obvious alt 4 him which i think was good.

I personally don't mind them keeping his look the same, it's not good if they did it with all characters but Sub-Zero and Scorpion's looks need to be left pretty much the same if you ask me. Sub's ninja look was way better, but I like the Shredder outfit. I'm with the majority on the alt though, I think it's the ugliest piece of shit outfit I've seen in a game.
I think that it just wouldn't be an MK game without Sub-Zero and Scorpion. They've been in it since the very first one and are staples of the series. If Midway ever took out either of these characters in any future MK installments (I mean of the fighting games, not the branches) I would completely lose faith in them, and I'm sure they'd get tons of angry feedback. I'd like to convince myself they'd never make such a stupid decision as to take one of these characters out but they've been foolish lately so I honestly wouldn't put it past them. And for all you people who say that the series needs change and removing these characters would be for the best, well, that's a whole other debate, so for now, I'll just say you're definitely wrong.
As for story concerns, yes, it does look as though the current Sub-Zero is getting quite old, but with the development of Noob Saibot's story, something interesting should definitely happen. I honestly hope we see the return of the original Sub-Zero the next time around, as I am a much bigger fan of him than of his brother that I've been forced to play with.

Sub-Zeros' first alt is pretty cool, the 3 spikes on his helmet are exactly like Shredders. I don't get how he aged faster than everyone else though. Other than that, Sub-Zeros' freezing ability is enhanced by the armor and the medallion, making his skin, hair, and eyes white. His scar across his eye that marked him for death against the old Lin Kuei turned from red to blue to completely gone.

His first one is quite a good outfit, I don't like his 2nd one much. His best outfit was his alternate from Deadly Alliance!
