Now as MK7 has been confirmed, I thought we should do a suggestion list for it. Now everything I have listed is possible to do because MK7 is to be on the XBOX-2 and the PS3 so anything is possible hopefully.
Features for Mortal Kombat 7
Extremely realistic graphics,
Keep the dark fantasy-esque atmosphere but make the game more realistic - no more cartoonish characters - make them look real and deadly.
Photo-realistic character models (similar to the graphics of FMVs and Renders)
Fighting Arenas to have greater graphical power
A larger variety of facial thisthingisdisableds
More distinguished gore in fatalities - clothing, hair, organs, bones, etc.
Character damage models - bloodied clothing, cuts and bruises on whole body, clothing should be able to be torn and ripped off, limping, inability to use a specific limb if damaged too much.
Character blinks, coughs, hair is more flexible, spits blood, chokes, more realistic painful sounds - crunching, blood splaying, cracking, character makes more realistic sounds when hit. Sweating in hot environment, clothes dampened with sweat, characters wet if environment has rain or has water contained in it. Characters get covered in mud or sand if the environment has them.
Environments to have more background graphics and ambience - storms, grass/trees swaying in the breeze, bricks falling off buildings when hit by lightning, dust and fog cover the environment either knee height or waist height. If on a snow level, the snow absorbs the blood spilt, when a character walks across the snow there is visible indents/footprints. In a water level, the water ripples around the characters ankles, if they fall into the water, not only should they become wet, the water should splash (particle effects), if blood is spilt on water it should be how it is in real life.
If on an interactive/multi-tiered environment, if knocked through a wall/ceiling/floor the debris that follows when it reaches the next level should stay where it is, it should not fade or disappear instantly.
*Will add more when I think of some more ideas.
Ultra-deep, menacing Gameplay (Thanks to Tgrant and others (let me know and Ill credit you) for some of these ideas)
Over 240 moves (not including environment moves) per character and a minimum of 5 special moves per character, 13 combos per character, 3 fatalities per character, two hara-kiri moves per character and one weapon which consists of 120 moves, 8 combos and 1 fatality.
All moves can be made into a combo (similar to DOA3/Soul Calibur II) and the overall fighting system should be completely new and revamped and is more deep and somewhat more complex than DOA3/Soul Calibur II - not button mashing.
Each arena consists of at least 2 levels either up, down or on the same level, each has a minimum of 1 death-trap and each arena has a minimum of 4 interactive obstacles (walls, statues, stairs, poles, etc).
With certain environments, players can use the interactivity factor of these arenas - running up walls, using poles to swing round and hit enemies, weapons can be picked up off the floor, off the walls and be removed from certain things (glass spheres, bars), Players can leap onto ledges, use the stairs to throw enemies down, use unlevelled terrain to their advantage, etc
Certain levels have specific game altering features - an ice arena has a slippery floor which if the character runs they will slip and slide, an arena where there is waist height water - this will slow characters down, a wind level which depending on which way the wind is blowing will alter how you fight (might be blown back, towards, etc - characters clothes and hair will be affected heavily by this - rippling and flapping hard.)
Characters now have the ability to run, characters can now counter moves (when a player goes for an attack you counter it with a counter-specific throw depending if its a high, low or jumping attack), and your character will have multiple throws judging on if you are crouched, standing or jumping, characters now have more aerial moves and crouched moves.
Each character will possess 6 counter moves (two for low attacks, two for high and two for jumping attacks) and 3-6 normal throwing moves depending if you are crouched, standing or jumping.
Each character will have their own specific fighting style (none will be recycled or shared - same with the throws and counter throws), their own individual voice and two unique victory poses.
Blocking will no longer be universal depending on where you are being hit your character can use both their arms and legs to block attacks, weapons will clash with one another in a large variety of different ways and reversals will no longer be universal either - will have the same technique as the counter moves and blocking.
Each character will have three different ways of dodging or evading attacks (flipping back, side-stepping, somersaulting over, jumping back, etc)
*Will add more once I think of some more ideas for the gameplay*

Yeah, I agree with mkda???, with MK7's confirmation, I think its about time a new thread was opened.
Sorry about posting it in the Deception forum, I'll shift it to General discussion.
