It'd be late for us, but not for you.

And, it's official, King Dedede is amazing. He chain throws ANYONE he damn well pleases, and his tilts are pretty quick. Hammer has some added range, though it's a bit on the slow side, and his projectile is pretty decent, too. He's very good.

And it's also official Ike sucks. Bad. By far the slowest piece of crap I've seen ever. What good is insane power when you can't hit anything?

^ Play my Ike.

I've yet to fight a D3 at all, but I doubt Ike can't beat him.

Ike is mid tier at the very least, but probably top 10.

Dontay- What you're saying about Ike is exactly how I thought of King DEDEDE. His left/right smash is slow as hell and didn't know how to "tilt attack" so thats what made it weird.
Yo Versa what is Bowser and Game&Watch on the tier list? I'm sure Bowser might be low, but what is Game&Watch like low mid? When I picked him vs my brother I started liking him. his air attacks are good if used right, his smashes do good damage, you can spam his little burger things (B) if you're high on percent and need some space, and on top of that his moves can like launch your ass way off the stage or up in the air putting you on the edge of death.

I played Smush for two hours with my friend earlier.

I, then, decided to never play it again.

No, my friend.

For most folks, such as myself, who have played fighting games on a competitive level, Smush is hardly "complicated".

In fact, Smush is for folks who don't really play fighting games but since I do I am not playing it. I consider myself too good for it.

You know what, it was my rolling, lol. No, for real, he's got slow startup, but his range and priority killed me anyway. Not as bad as I thought. I musta been using him wrong when I tried him.

after 5 days heres my outlook.

Ike is gunna be a lil better then marth on the tier list, marth has speed but lacks damage, ike takes a lil longer to learn right and hes a beast.i still prefer marth though iv put most my time into learning him.

Ganondorf is going to be top 10 im almost sure hes slow but so strong,he has his f,attak move that is really nice and quick, can be charged too.his special is so good,if timed right it can kill at 60% almost everytime.gives you that last chance if your high damage and your opponent isnt.f,attak is fast and moves way across the screen.

Pikachu is next on my list to learn, his set ups are really nice, with really quick moves.

Arcade im sorry i quit at 3 games last night,it was late and i was pretty drunk and so tired.i was runnin around for my gf all day to help out with our baby boy,he kept me up all night.

Drumz i can tell you havnt played this much yet am i right?ggs though bro.

Well, for as of this week my roster has changed dramatically...
I thought Luigi would be toned up a little because he was so "bad" in melee, but I was wrong. The idiots toned down a character that was already "bad." I don't use him as much as I used him in melee but he is like my bottom 5.
Snake is my best and will most likely always will be with those damn grenades and missles and shit. He's super strong to make it more fucked, his AAA and *tilt* AA combos can launch you way off the stage.
I don't know why but, Mr.Game&Watch is a beast to me. he maybe "light" but he can back it up with his powerful ass moves. I just learned that his neutral A move (gas pump thing) can stalemate with a lot of moves, helping be able so defend himself with an offensive attack.
Still trying to figue out this tier list so far but I can't find it on the Smashboards.

There should be a tier list by now, atleast a semi legit one, beings its been out in japan for 2 months.

Does anyone know how 2 go online vs your freinds with a buddy at your house? I CAN make my own game w/ both of us and ppl can join but when i join there games i cant figure out how it wont let me click to add another person.

A tier list for a game like this will take at least 5-6 months, if not a year. The metagame for Brawl is still being developed. Its style of play changed drastically from Melee. Thus, the tiers will take some time to develop. Melee's tier list wasn't really fleshed out until like a year later, and it still changed due to new finds. So don't expect a tier list until around maybe the summer or around Christmas.

from the videos I saw, you can go straight to versus mode and they can just join in if you let them.

There's so much complete wrongness in the last couple of post that it makes me cry. Who in the world are you guys fighting against? This is why I say go on smash boards, seek comp and learn how to play.

- Marth is probably the best character in the game. Not only does he have insane speed and priority, but he IS strong. Marth is only strong if you can consistently hit with the TIP of his sword. A tipped forward smash can kill even heavyweights at relatively low percentages. His sword dance is the ultimate punisher to build up damage, and fair is probably the best, most reliable move in the game.

- I dual main Ike along with Marth, but I definitely enjoy using Ike more and as of right now I am better with him. However, there is no way he is better than Marth. He takes a lot to use properly. He is slow, has no move he can really spam and his recovery is below average. Top 10? Probably when it's all said and done. He is the strongest in the game and makes people pay for mistakes harder than anyone. There is no way he is better than Marth though. Upper mid tier so far.

- Ganondorf top 10? How? Not only is he incredibly slow, but he lacks viable way to consistently due big damage(unlike Ike). He's unsafe and only has 1 decently fast move(his jab which is slower than almost everyone else's). His forward smash isn't anything to brag about. The hit someone with that you' have to punish the most unsafe move ever, or catch a roll or tech. His forward B is good because it plants them on the ground and set up wake up mix ups. Short hop dair, forward B after forward B, throw after forward B, etc. These are all good options. Ganondorf is ok, but to say he is top 10 with characters like Marth, Toon Link, Olimar, Fox, Falco, Wolf, Ike, King Dedede, Luigi, Snake and Donkey Kong just to name a few is absurd.

- What set ups with Pikachu? What do you consider to be a solid set up with him? He's a good character. Lacks range outside of projectile. Can be spaced out fairly easily.

- Luigi got toned down? That's funny considering he's arguably the most toned up character of all. Please tell me what makes him toned down in your book. Not only does he have insane priority, but he is difficult to approach due to down B(the tornado) beating out like..everything, popping up on clean hit and being safe if done proper. Up B on clean hit is much easier to land in this game because of shielding system(you can now let go of block immediately and punish most stuff) as well as parrying. His forward tilt is a good spacing move, and all of his aerials are fast, can KO and have range. Toned down? More like top 10.

- Mr Game and Watch is considered toned up. I don't have him yet so I do not know why.

- Bowser is decent. Forward B can be used to throw you and your opponent off the stage as long as bowser is at a relatively low percentage and the opponent is at a high one. If you have 2 stocks left and they have 1 the fight is over. That move does good damage and comes out fast, too. Up B out of a shield punishes a lot of things with decent damage, and forward tilt has a much bigger hit box than before with decent speed and KOing ability. Firebreath also comes out much quicker. He's better for sure.

Tier list aren't formed the first month and a half of a game coming out. Tiers are formed by people playing characters in high level competitive environments and analyzing their strengths, weaknesses, match ups, and overall effectiveness. Right now it is simply assuming who will be top and who will suck. For all we know, Yoshi has some untapped potential that will totally rock heads. For all we know, Marth has extreme trouble getting people who can keep him out of range, stopping him from being top tier. Legitimate melee tier list wasn't formed for over a year. Expect the same for Brawl.

O.K, only reason I say he was toned down is because his moves went from knocking you out at 100% to taking 5 more hits after 100%. His down A in the air used to be able to launch you out easy but now it can't. No more wave dash so thats a definite tone down, but thats for all characters so I can't really complain.
Bowser has gotten better and I know what he can do but, I don't think its enough to get him out of low tier (or whatever he was in melee). The moves I found to work with him was...
AA-Double slash- The slash "marks" that come out with it gives it somewhat of range.
*tilt* A- A quick punch in which his hand gets "bigger"
down A (trip)-Double slash at feet
left/right B- basically what you were saying
Anyway to Game&Watch, you just gotta unlock him to know what I'm talking about...
One more thing Versa, where do you go on smashboards for all these tips and tier lists and shit? Thats THE only reason why my thoughts are wrong.

I was gonna say something about Ike > Marth and Ganondorf being top 10, but I decided not to. Ganon isn't good at all. Ike is hard to really get anything started with, but he's insanely powerful. He's more of a punisher, due to his slow attacks. Marth can rack up some damage and has power when you TIP.

Another thing I noticed is with Dedede, he chain grabs nearly everyone, and has a decently quick Dtilt. His Ftilt has decent range, and his neutral A combo racks up some damage fast. His Dsmash is his best smash, I believe. It's got some decent power, and it's definitely faster than his Fsmash (Which I constantly do by mistake trying to Ftilt >_
G&W is massively improved. His aerial game is ANNOYING, mainly due to the priority I've noticed. His Dair is dumb, and recovers fast. Mostly, you'll see G&W in the air, and when he's on the ground, he's sausaging you to death, and stalemating with neutral A. His down throw sends you flat on the ground, regardless of your health, apparently, allowing you to just create all sorts of stupid mixups with it.

Another person I'm looking at is ZSS. Not bad, but extremely hampered by a lack of a good kill move. ForwardB has nice knockback when you sweetspot it, and her Fsmash backs it up pretty nicely with its range. Her tilts are quick, as are her aerials, though her Dair can cause SDs. Her Dsmash and NeutralB moves stun you, allowing you to set up. Also, 3 recovery moves don't hurt. I think what's hurting her the most is she's light. Very light. Other than that, she seems solid in my books.

Now, onto my main, Lucario. The biggest thing that will hamper you is his damage system. He gets stronger as he takes damage. Sounds good, but when you take into consideration that he's not really that strong at low percentages, it seriously puts him at a big disadvantage against characters who can kill at low percentages, since he's also light. But other than that, he's definitely decent. He's like Mewtwo in the aspect that his hitrange extends further than you'd think. His forward and back throws are good for getting your opponent off the stage if you're not damaged enough. His down throw sends you up into the air, where Lucario is known for some priority and range, as well as for having one of the best Dairs in the game, which stops all momentum, has good priority, has decent recovery, and is one of his best knockback moves, as well as having a use as a pseudo-SHFFL. Dsmash covers both behind him and in front of him, and pushes back on normal block a bit, so it has its uses. Neutral A is good for jabbing, and knocks back pretty nicely. Lucario's tilts come out rather fast, and have some pretty nice range and a little bit of priority. His NeutralB has some knockback, and isn't really bad. His ForwardB is slow, but has really nice range. Overall, Lucario is solid, but doesn't get goin until you take a bit of damage, which can be risky due to his light weight as it is. I see him looming around mid tier if anything.

It's a counter move. It's that thing I use to teleport and hit you. It's like Marth and Ike's counter, only it comes out slower, and the knockback you get for it is much greater at higher percentages.

GGs, to Booya and Versa.

I can't wait to learn more about the characters on this game. A shame I didnt play Melee though. But I got brawl now and can enjoy this. Btw, some of these terms I saw are new to me.

For example: Tilt AA or a Tilt. Don't know those. Is there a part of the smash board site that defines the terms like these?

Btw, Versa your Ike is nasty. Also, to Booya, next time we play, we should have items off lol.

Look forward to good times, and its only been out a week grin
