as you all know, the biggest "rumor" of this game is the super unlockables. i believe we have already found them. i remember a interview (gamespot i think)
where boon said: "there will also be these super unlockables that will only appear at certin times of day". hmmmm. so, i think (like the "surprise" of mkda) you all misunderstood boon when he said this, and have blown it way out of context.
and from the mko interview: "will there be more than 24 characters?"
boon:
"yes, there will be more than 24 characters. ...we do plan on adding additional characters in the konquest mode that will be an addition to the 24"
with that being said, this interview was dont in may at e3. notice he daid "we plan to add"???? how do you know they had "the time" to add these characters? you dont. no one does. the mk team does, but they wont tell us.
and if they did add them, we dont know how many.
i think its safe to scratch off jax, sonya, and the rest of the mkda cast that you fight during konquest. why?? cause they werent ment to be played. they have no fatalites, and when you do fatalities to them, the game crashes.
the only 4 ppl i can think of are monster and onga. because they have full moves lists, and can be played with out problems. my other two guesses are goro and shao kahn. i say those two because they are the only 2 "legend" characters that have fully 3d renders (in the bio vids). unless they were made just for that..but i doubt it.
with all this being said, where do you stand in this super unlockable debate?
and another note...since mko has "connections" and have got info about the village in konquest mode...is there anyway you could ask midway if there are indeed super unlockables? if there are indeed more than 24 playable characters? and if the super unlockables are the playable characters. cause i think midway needs to shed some lite on this situation.
im not asking for who they are or how to get them..i just wanna know if they are there.

i still have faith in that the super unlockables will be found. i would not mind if monster, onaga, khan and goro were the super unlockables.
the thing that annoys me is, when people say that radian and lui kang are the super unlockables. we knew that they were both going to be in the game before they told us.
every mortal kombat that i know of have its one or two hidden hidden characters somewhere.

Sorry Sub, the only place I know of to see the Shao Kahn vid is on the Kollectors/Premium versions of MKD.

1. Onagas not unlockable because of the hage advantage online
2. Its possble Monsters an unlockable but itll probly be an alt for scorpion
when you think of the concept of super unlockables u gotta remamber the game is an online game....they wouldnt just say "fuk the 3 million ppl that didnt get superulockables, let the few 10 ppl that did unlock them kick there asses"

This is not a rumor. On the October issue of gamepro he said there would be 12 characters to start with, 12 more unlockable, and a few "super-unlockables" that you will find in konquest mode way after you are done with the game.
Also in the third gamespot interview he said there would be super-unlockables.
If it turns out there are no super unlockables it would turn out to be the worst feature they hyped up that never made it to the game, much like the stage fatalities from the last game.
Considering they have most of the MK:DA character models in there, it would have been easy to have them as unlockables, but it would mean they deliberately left them non selectable.

You can only see Shao Kahn's bio if you have the Kollector's Edition or Premium Pack, because they come with an extra disc. The normal version does not have it.
I definitely think there are SUs, without a doubt. Every MK has had them, why would they leave Deception out?

also boon said the super unlockables wont be seen on the selectscreen they would be hidden just like how mk:da was when selecting blaze or mokap. and why would you think they wouldnt have super unlockables they had them in mk:da and the game was rushed and wasnt even finish they didnt have enough time to put in 2nd faytalities and pit faytalities but they managed to put in superunlockables well not really super but secret characters.

Blaze and Mokap were very simple to find. Just beat Konquest and get both of them.
We were hoping for Noob Saibot back then, with the whispers in the Krypt and the famous Gold Koffins glitch.

Well, if these characters are the super unlockables they should have never shown them to us in gameplay videos and pics, it spoiled the whole thing. I bet we all would appreciate raiden and Lui Kang alot more if we never knew about them until the moment they were unlocked.
Here's why I believe there ARE Super Unlockables...
It would be false advertising if there were not.
He said it in an interview...so there must be unlockables.
If we asked about death traps, multiple fatalities..and he says yes...
then...all stages are just like DA, and every character only has one fatality...who would buy his game? People would want refunds.
None of us here will return our games if there are no unlockable characters...but it's just not good business.
Him saying "Well, there are still some things people haven't unlocked in MK2" is COMPLETELY different than saying "There will be 12 initially selectable characters, 12 unlockables, and then some you unlock after you complete Konquest". Why? Because I believe he said the first comment, well after MK2 was released...everyone who wanted the game, had it already, and were not influenced by that comment. The second comment was said before the release, hence, advertising it as a feature. They're two, completely different comments.

Does nayone remember the MK2 version for Genisis? There was a hidden options screen and when you turned on one thing it gave Raiden another "ality". A Furgality I think it was, where he turned his opponent into some strage cartoon caracter thingy?
How long was it before someone figured that one out? Not to mention my earlier post about Goro for MK1 Gameboy being playable.
