Before I buy this game tomorrow, I need you guys to let me know if traditional arcade sticks are fully supported. I know I asked this question before, but this was before people actually owned the game. I saw a picture of the manual and I noticed that the analog stick supports 3D movement, and as you know arcade sticks do not use any form of analog control. This is important for me to know as it'll prevent me from buying it if it does not support arcade sticks. Thanks a lot in advance!

I haven't heard if it does or not.

Well, does anyone know the full button layout at least? Does it use anything more than the 4 face buttons and the 2 triggers? Does it use the bumpers at all?
ya, im using the Hori stick for PS3 and its fully supported
you can edit your button config in the menus you have 8 buttons..and this is my layout 1234 5678 1=throw 2=1st attack 3=block 4=2nd attack 5=3d movement..hold down to move in 3d.. its slow. it is not a fast sidestep 6=3rd attack 7=go into klose kombat 8=4th attack in falling kombat and klose kombat..you will still need to use your color buttons regardless of your custom layout. let me know if you need more detail

Okay, you helped a bunch, but I have a more specific question. You said it used 8 buttons, but are some of those macros? Meaning, can I throw outside of using a throw button by pressing 2 buttons at once or something? Or is throw a separate button like MKA/MKD? Reason I ask is because on my Hori stick, I ONLY have 6 buttons to work with (4 face buttons and left trigger/right trigger). The left and right bumpers are on the top of the stick and cannot be easily used during gameplay. Is the game fully playable using only A, B, X, Y, LT, and RT? Thanks!

My hori stick has 8 face buttons, the 360 Hori has 6 so I have no idea what you will do
This was the selling point for me, so I went with the ps3 version.

Right, but my question is, can I throw by pressing 2 different buttons, or do Klose Kombat by pressing a combination of other buttons, or do I HAVE to use 8 buttons? As in, there is no other way to access them without pressing the button? For example, in Soul Calibur IV you can throw by pressing A + G, in VF5 you can throw by pressing punch + guard, in Street Fighter 3 you can throw by pressing light punch + light kick, is it like that in this game also, or separate buttons?

Sorry to bump this topic twice in a row, but according to the manual, it labels Attack 1-4, Block, and Klose Kombat. Where are Throws and Free-Fall Kombat factored into the default control scheme?

Freefall uses the face buttons, but is only initiated when you hit someone off a ledge

0
And what about throws? This is the last big question I'll have, if someone can reply! Is throw a separate button like MKD/MKA?
Freefall is initiated with a throw or hit at the edge of the arena. Then you use the face buttons for attacks.
The way I have my buttons setup on my regular controller is as follows:
X + Y does Klose Kombat
X + A changes my footing stance (don't know the purpose of this)
A + B throw
So go ahead and spend your money and get this game and send me a friend request when you get the game :) Gamertag: Raveryn

Seeing as the 360's Hori stick has a retarded button layout, is it possible to assign 1, 2, 3, and 4 to any buttons on the stick? Like for example, can I assign shit as:
1 = b
2 = x
3 = a
and so on? Or can you at least assign those commands to whatever buttons you want in the PS3 version?
Edit: Actually I think you answered that, sorry.

Think I may want to get one for the 360.
