He has nothing important to contribute to the deception story,sorry Skein!

I thought Reiko was pretty cool and should get a revamped look, I think all the new characters from Mk4 should get another chance except Jarek(no need 4 a reason) because they all were introduced into the worst Mk game.

I think they only chose Tanya from the new characters from MK4, because maybe she was the only one who could fit in with the story. I think they didn't choose Reiko because he couldn't have any type of "deception" in his story, but we never know.

I loved Reiko, I liked his ending, it was all a mystery. I disagree with most when saying I think he should make a comeback.

Actually, he could.

His story is one of the biggest mysteries. The whole deal with the mask of Shao Kahn opens many doors for a possible story with lots of potential of him, being related to (somehow) the dragon king.

Reiko was awesome in mk4, I never really played as him, but I always thought he was cool.

I think we will see him return in all his glory, in Mk7.

If you look at the characters you'll notice that only characters who has potential to have a deep story line are returning. Here are a few examples:

Sindel: The Queen of Outworld.
Kabal: Run-away Black Dragon with a score to settle.
Tanya: Single handedly the cause of MK4.
Raiden: Thunder God

You get the idea. As for Reiko? Well, his story has no substance, thus meaning no place in MKD. Enough said.

About the mask- he was an ex-genereal in Shao Khans army so he can have a look alike mask as a general

Reiko is a general in an evil army right? But does he really look evil? Come on! he has Good Guy all over his face. so heres the deception

Reiko seems a little fruity to me.Maybe Queer guy can hook him up for the make over.He can get his nails polished or something.

Tanya wasnt that good a character in MK4, seh was ok to fight with, but there always seemed to be something about her that people in general just disliked. But her storyline of betrayal to Earth's fighters and her hatred of Kitana and SIndel will link in with the over all storyline.
Reiko on the otherhand wasn't very good in all ways. His storyline was weak and his ending was utter crap, and left him really nowhere to go.
But why does Tanya have lit up eyes? She never had before. Isnt it just gods who have that?

a) nope Zub-zero and sindel have white eyes too but they are not gods
b) Reikos story is a mistery so they can evolve it and fit ti in to this story

Nope, Shang Tsung, Scorpion have no pupils neither.
As for Reiko, in MK4, he was one of the best in long combos. And not counting that he will always remain a mystery lol.

anyway..reiko was an awesome fighter.. him and tanya were my fav's from mk4.. he is in 1 of the jail cell's so im hoping he can be freed along w/ kitana!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, I don't think it has much to do with the story personally. It seems they are brining back the better/more popular classic characters, since in the end, this is a fighting game and not a story book.

I liked Reiko and I think he has potential (look at sig.) I liked that he was an enigmatic character and we didn't know what he was up to or who he was loyal to.

Tanya and Reiko were both my fav's from MK4 (out if the new characters anyway). I liked their moves and their fatality's. I agree Reiko's story wasn't the greatest, but it is something that can be built upon.

well reiko wont get a makeover cause the mk team is regretting ever making his ending the way they did. more then likely he will join the ranks of stryker, sheeva, jarek and others as the worse mk characters ever! so when they have enough members they will make a new mk game devoted to them!

Reiko is a general in SHINNOKS's army, not Kahn's. It's been suggested he may work for Kahn, but they've never said what role he plays. He could be a spy, a bodyguard, ect.


I want Reiko to return(or be mentioned) just for the sole purpose of ending the nonsense about his ending. I want it explained just so it can finally die.
