Anybody got any other ideas? I have two:

1) One where the player assumes a neijin-like stance but instead of the attack power increasing, the defense increases. For example, when first triggered, blows landed by the opponent do only 80% damage. This slowly decreases in time and, like a neijin, has a refractory period in which it cannot be used again. One of these moves could theoretically cancel out an opponent's neijin.

2) Speed increases. Now just in case the player's thumbs aren't quick enough, it can be implemented in a different way: Slow down the opponent. It's still essentially the same thing - just a change in perspective. The effect does not decrease with time but does act only for a limited duration, of course. Two of these speed-increasing power ups would in effect cancel each other out.

These two ideas are kind of half-baked, I know, but hopefully they will point you in the direction that I'm hoping this thread will go.
A taunt that decreases ur opponent's def., but raises their attack

assume ur winning pose to taunt ur opp.

assume a neijin pose but it raises ur att. power & def.power & decreases ur opp.'s att. & def. & fills ur health up by 1/4 & makes u faster.

That's all

I like the idea of making changes to your self with the taunts and power ups, but not making changes to the opponent.

It would be pretty cheap if you could cause a change in the opponent's ability to fight by just taunting them.

It would cause problems.

How about a power meter for some super move. Not street fighte like, were they go insane with some kind of combo, but similar to Sub-Zero's Ice Planet in the first movie when he fought Lui Kang. Or an instanty power surge ala Soul Calibur's Soul Charge. i would also like to see a good deal of more ariel moves, an catual counter command list, and a throw list like in DOA3.
