MKF, times have changed. That is true. I still travel (at least within my state) to play Tekken. In my opinion, the day fighting games are played exclusively online is the day when fighting games will die. You can have the best server out there, the best console out there, and the best connection out there, but the truth is today's technology cannot give you a perfect connection. As fighters become deeper and deeper, a perfect connection is needed.

Hey dave, what state do you live in?

I see what you're saying, I definitely feel that Dai is top for sure offline where he is exactly who knows...but I do agree that he's good offline, online you're right about the turtling since we both use that tactic in online play. You've seen a few of my vids, I've watched a couple of yours.
You love that B+4 I've noticed lol, that's not a bad thing given how safe the move is online and all. I just noticed you like that move a lot.
SSB at first seemed like a party game, but the game is more or less a fighting game now anyway. Thing is most people don't really consider it in the same league as typical fighters, SF, Tekken, MK, SC, DOA etc, etc since the engine appears to be a 4 player party game. The game believe it or not actually does have it's own gameplay options for the player, their own wake ups, jumps, air counters etc it's just way different then your average fighting game.
I think the fact that it has such a diverse cast of characters intially makes some people believe it's like Mario Party but it's a lot different actually then your typical Mario party game.
Ever play it? I played the first two, melee was fun but there were some things in the N64(1st version) that I liked more.
The new one coming out has new characters, additions, gameplay elements and online play so I'm definitely curious.
It also has Sonic and Snake in it lol so that's right you can have Mario against those two. I'm waiting for them to put another character like Sub-Zero, Jin, Ken or someone lol.
I appreciate the explanation though on your Dairou thoughts offline/online.
You know who I believe is seriously underrated that's awesome in MKA, been using her for a while now. Sheeva. Nobody talks about her lol, her teleport owns and is damaging and her 1 in weapon comes out so fast it's insane and tough to anticipate along with her FT after makes her pretty damn good IMO. I like her, Reptile is fun too but I know he's not that good. He's a bitch to use sometimes, but his invisibility is sweet.

I've played SSBM at some tournament for a little bit. For me, it is a party game. That is no fighting game to me and many others as well.
Yeah, Sheeva might be good off-line. Her special moves are average but her regular moves are interesting. I'm sure there are other characters that get better off-line.

Sheeva I've also found out is great against "projectile happy" players and IMO a great Bo killer in MKA.
I played one of the best bo players on here the other day (atari) and did well against his Bo with Sheeva, her teleport when timed right=owns.

I second on Sheeva. If her weapons hit mid more she would easily be top 10 if not top 5. Not to mention her juggles in weapons always do more than 35% which is another plus. Her projectile is ok because you can spam it one after the other giving her space. So yeah if used right she can be a bitch. Anyone notice how she's buffer than most of the guys on MKA? lol.

Yep, completely agree dude ^. Her tamed fury also is great for parry cancelling into or blocking and buffering into, it comes out fast up close in a "chicken block" match, block, move, block, move etc lol.
BTW, she's buffer because she's a Shokan, her race of people. They're generally bigger then humans are. Goro, Sheeva, Kintaro etc are all Shokans. Shokans are from Outworld.
