I usually don't make post like this, but, if there's any stage that I've really been wanting (for a long time) to make a return, it's definitely the Living Forest. I'm so glad to here that it's coming back, as I'm sure a lot of people are. Ed Boon, gets a thumbs up for this one!

I know, just thinking about all of the possibilities such as hiding around trees, posibilities of ripping off branches to use as weapons, the deathtraps! Possibilities are endless with this level. Great job Boon & Co!

Im pretty sure they will incorporate the trees somehow with a death trap. They did say every level will have one.

Are you the same ecclesiastes that use to post here a lot. If so, man, I haven't seen you in a long time. Welcome back, man.

As a death trap: One big "Wise old Tree" Either you kick, punch, hit your opponent in or you make them move backwards towards it and there is a huge root sticking out. They trip back and into it.
During the stage, the tree swipes at you with its big branchs. Don;t know if the branches should pick you off. Might be a little cheap. But the action of the branches could throw you off.

I hope that it isnt only in the chess game. They should have old hidden arenas in the krypt.
Ah, jeez, has a krypt been confirmed in this new one? I hated that idea so much in MK: DA, it was such a waste of time. I would prefer that beating a certain game with a certain character on a certain difficulty will get you something. That would be challenging and (possibly) less time consuming. As for the living forest, I'm overjoyed that it's going to be in this one, MK4 really ruined it before, I hope that doesn't happen again.
The living forest would be a great place to incorporate loads of deathtraps! Here are some ideas:
- Living trees: You kick your opponent into one of those large trees surrounding the arena. They use their long vines to grip the fighter's limbs, and tear him/her to pieces!
- Stalagmites - Seeing that the arenas will now be multitiered, the match could start off on a cliff. You kick your opponent off the cliff and they get impaled below (this was I think an idea they wanted to incorporate into MK4 as a stage fatality, but never made it). Alternatively, they could have hidden stalagmites buried in the ground itself, like hidden trenches. The ground could cave in and the fighter falls and gets impaled (like in the 3rd level of MKM: Sub-Zero)!

- Hidden dangers - well this is a living forest. The possibilities are endless! They could have a dinosaur like creature come crashing out of the bushes and run off with your opponent (how's that for a ring out?)! The should have had something like this in the swampland arena.
Again borrowing an idea from the swampland arena, they could have alligator like creatures come out of bushes, or ponds, and have them attack your opponent or you. And what about the birdbats that were feeding on a carcass and they attack you if your character gets lunged into them? (another swampland idea - see MKDA).
