OK, they got it all better: GRaphics, Gameplay, COmbosystem and so on...

but the AI still is the same "I-know-what-you're-gonna-do-next"Bitch.

On hard Mode it's nearly impossible to beat the enemies and have fun at the same time. They just know everything...

I think they should have spend more work on that...

actually i think so far this is the best job they've done on an ai. it's a lot harder to find patterns that it falls for, like the simple jumpkick and back up method of mk2. and it's also not as unbelievably omniscient as the one in trilogy that knew exactly what you were doing, to the point where it would back up the exact number of steps you advanced at the exact same time. now that is definitely not fun to play. the computer in mkda will actually fall for a well placed special move and in general i think it just encourages you to not be too cheap. it seems like it learns what you do if you do the same thing over and over again and won't fall for it a certain number of times. ai is only going to be so good, i don't think we should expect that it will play like a human.

AI is okay, but in arcade, after doing the test your might thing, the AI difficulty suddenly makes a giant leap. This bothers me.

The best thing I like about the AI since MKII, is that when the cpu is nearly dead, it gets eager to kick your ass. Giving it more tension.

i love how the AI seems to know whether it's fighting me or my bro

it knows our strenghts, our weaknesses
it all makes for a good fight

At first it may be a pain in the ass playing on hard, but after a while when your skills improve and once you start kicking the comp. ass, you'll have lots and lots of fun. But nothing beats playing against a player who knows what he/she is doing. grin
The AI is, imo, by far the best of any MK game.
I'm on Hard mode atm, not quite Max yet, but working my way there.

About Me

If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. If you put water into
a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow...... or it can
crash. Be water my friend.... be water. --

Yeah I remember the AI of MKT. It was mad. Every time you went up to do a fly kick, you had a counter fly kick in your face meaning that you could never do one. The best way to beat them seemed to be with Noob Saibot. It's quite possible to finish it on the hardest difficulty level with Noob. The AI in MKDA seems fine so far. Alas, I'm not able to play it these days because I'm away at college. I played it the first week-end I got it but haven't been home since then :(.
