Yeh I agree with you it looks very similar to scorpion. It can't be noob because of the skin and it looks closer to scorpion then smoke unless smoke had a major makeover. Smoke would probably be in is cyber form in MKD anyway.

It does look like Scorpion but judging by the colour it must be Noob Saibots alternate. I do hope this doesn't mean there will be palette swaps if it is. Both Noob and Scorpion would be looking more or less the same then.

You can clearly make out the dark skin in the 2nd pic. So they are not the same.

Until we at MK Online get some confirmation on who this is, I'm going to guess that this is Scorpion. At E3 2002, during the preview of Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance, there was an alternate black outfit for Scorpion. This never made it into the final game.

Yea karacters shouldnt have to wear the same colors all the time. This aint the 16bit days of simplicity anymore.

I think it might be Noob's alternate. Maybe we've never seen Noob's skin because he's always covered in black garb? Then again, Noob has blue eyes and Scorpion's are white. Duhhhn Duhhn DUUUHHHH!

If it is Scorpion he looks a little too plain in the black outfit. He needs something more to add to the appearence. His arms are too bare or something. I cant quite put my finger on it...

But look at the unknown ninjas shirt, then look at Noob Saibot's shirt. It's actually a vest, and you see that the unknown ninja and Noob Saibot are both wearing the same thing. Maybe Noob Saibot's skin isn't all black anymore, maybe he is wearing a full body suit? Never know. I'm still sticking with it being Noob Saibot.

Noob originates from the Netherealm, he has black as night skin. Scorpion died and went to the Netherealm, hence why he has human skin. Noob's skin definitly wasnt covered in black garb, he has the same color skin as his outfit, always had always will. If they change that now, its a bad move in Boon and co.

But it doesn't even look like one part of his body is uncovered, whether it's shoulder armor, a mask, gloves, goggles that people thought he had. Whichever.

We need confirmation from Boon or someone at Midway. All this speculation. I mean he's wearing black so you think it's Noob, yet he has all white eyes and a skull like ninja mask like Scorpion. He also has what appears like smoke in the background. So the mystery continues.

yea but if u look at like the hands and shins they closely match his regular outfit, especially from MKDA, the shin guards look quite a bit like scorps alt outfit in DA and i doubt its noob cuz of the eyes but of course his eyes may be able to change color....
actually when i first saw the mask, the first thought that came to mind was baraka's alt costume but then i saw no blade, but maybe he can slide them in and out in this game.... speculation from me

I think the only reason why noob's skin was black in old MK games is because it was easier to make him like that. They thought that if they made him all black, that he would look more dark and shadowy. I think noob having black skin is just a graphics issue.

SUBZERO7........I agree with you. They were lazy and cheap back in the day, and they probably didn't even expect to use Noob again. Now they have to develop him into a real character and change him up, which of course is gonna send the diehard fans into a tizzy.

The person is black in this picture is CLEARLY Baraka. First of all, there is NO mask on his face. (You can see the jaw line) Secondly, his entire body is covered in black. The face: the teeth are obviously sharp and resemble Baraka's teeth, as well as his skin tone, blah blah.... Now, we have seen TWO of Baraka's costumes already and there are mainly red and metal. In this picture, Baraka is wearing all black.

Could there possibly be 3 costumes for each character?

There's a question to think about. Now I have looked over all the pics carefully over and over agian. And I'm sorry but the guy in this puzzle pic shit looks to definetely be Baraka to me. Maybe I'm wrong, I'm not saying I'm right... but who the hell else could it be?

Noob doesn't have big ass teeth like that, his eyes are GREENISH BLUE, and his skin is black. The guy in the pic doesn't fit any of those characteristics

It may be another character... but I don't see that happening. Also, this is probably an early shot. Therefore, costumes CHANGE. This could very well be an old costume that may not even make it to the game.

Bottom line is.... We have to wait and see.


And as far as the "black" ninja... I believe 100% that is Smoke. I already posted about it in the other thread. But if you look at it, his vest and arm/leg pieces are definetely gray. Take a closer look and adjust the color on your monitor.

Thanks for the picture. Although I've been a fan of the idea of Smoke, though not his in game moves, I think that this is probably Scorpion, and, if so, I'd be glad for the change of color. I think that the ninjas have been identified with a single color for too long. Subby'd look great in a white ninja outfit--he is a winter warrior, anyhow, so it would make sense that his outfit would try to camoflauge somewhat, since that is essentially what ninja outfits do.
