HAHAHAHAHA. I know exactly what you are talking about.That's the trick though, don't get impaled. Sidestep, block, move out of range, do something. I personally like to sidestep and light 'em up. If you get impaled, well, I hope you can be very aggresiveand put together an offensive display. Isn't it embarrasing to get impaled?

ok, heres the trick, find a hella long combo that takes away like 45% of their life, then, right when you see them pull the sword back to impale, hit the block button. once the sword hits you, you can execute the combo with ease, do that a couple times and their done.
