The Deception: THE Kahn is Back!

In the trailer it says a sinister force has been hiding in the shadow, obsessed with conquering all realms, with an trusted ally.

My reason for opening with this is: After MK:T Shoa Kahn dissapeared, and took his former identity of Reiko.(I'll explain later).

During MK:G we saw Baraka re-emerging, now we know Quan-Chi's nor his ending were cannon, yet we know he is back.
After Liu Kang defeated Shinnok and his minions, Reiko(Kahn) returned to his realm. While his ally, Baraka, keeps an eye on the Deadly Alliance.
In the intro of MK:DA we see Kahn getting killed by Shang Tsung and Quan-Chi. What if...Baraka told Kahn about the Alliance and he merely faked his death.
Also why would Mileena fight Baraka after all these 2 were allies in previous games? Mileena has been resureccted once by Shinnok. maybe he did so again to keep an eye on the Alliance aswell. He won't be happy with Quan-chi, and Kahn won't be too happy with Tsung.

Now one has been killed (Tsung) and one has merged (Quan-chi - Drhamin), and we have the return of the Dragon King......

Happy days in MK-Lala-Land i think not....
PS: that voice does sound an awfull lot like Shoa's .

One...Khan does not equal Reiko, that was just a stunt the team behind the MK4 video team pulled, Boon has said this more then once. Two...The MKG ending "Baraka's Demise" was bullcrap to begin with.

Think about it, Quan Chi killing the elder gods, including raiden. Yet, the next game raiden was in there. If anything Quan Chi and Baraka are allies. Maybe Khan is back, but I think he will be in the same boat as anyone else...his weak in power and would have had to survive the murder attempt from Tsung and Quan Chi. The guy has some terrible luck, but he is also immortal...which means he comes back more the one of them psycho chicks on a soap opera.

if i am not mistaken i already said that barak's Demise isn't cannon.

And think about it, what greater deception would there be than stating that Kahn isn't Reiko for more than give or take two years?

Very true, that would suprise me alot. But reiko belongs to a clan that worships Shinnok, which noob saibot also belongs to. Why would Khan do that, unless it was all along a deception...maybe he could be in the inside observing the descovery of the amulet, Quan Chi's original deception towards shinnok, then the formation of the deadly alliance, I think at this point anything is possible.

There is always the rumor that Reiko impersonated Shao Khan, and that it was actually Reiko who was killed at the hands of Quan Chi and Shang Tsung in MK:DA.

maybe the deception is that Mileena and Baraka are actually a team... and they are only fighting each other to deceive the other Kombatants into believing they arnt working together...


that seems more realistic than bringing in people who havent been in the game in a while and who havent seen being in this game... at least as of yet...

I mean, thats a great story, and most of it lines up, but lets stick to what we know... the game is called Deception, the major player returning in the game is Baraka, who is fighting the person who we last knew to be his wife... something has got to be involving that...

In MK2 they are supposed to rule Outworld, as King and Queen, but that could not be the case. Shao Khan did not fall.

the point im trying to make, is that there is a connection between them, whether it be they married, king and queen, mileena was made using some of Baraka's blood, whatever... but there is a connection...

and to me, it seems morel likely that the first trailer is basically just them, and the game is called deception, that it has something to do with them...

then again maybe it doesnt, but it seems more likely than it having to do with Kahn, as there is nothing being shown to even have anything to do with Kahn...

thats like saying maybe Kang wasnt really dead... maybe its true, but as of now, its a guess based on nothing... at least what i was saying might be a possibility, based on what we've seen thus far...

I think Baraka and Mileena might be part of a sub-story, one of many, all built around the main storyline. That would make sense. There are a lot of loose ends with a lot of characters.

yeah, thats why this is my favorite time leading up to the release of the game...


i was here for a year or so before MK:DA came out... it was really great coming on and seeing just one new screen shot... but then a week or so leading up to the game, tons of people who arnt fans of the whole series would come on and just flood this play with crap... the same questions over and over... and then, once the game came out, even more questions, and complaining...

its nice and peaceful here again... its good to be back...

I concur that the is no proof what so ever that Baraka and Mileena are husband and wife, or that Mileena was created by Baraka's blood, if she was te be created by some one's blood it would have been Kitana, after all she is Kitana's clone, thus Kitana's blood(DNA) had to be required to make a clone of her.

And just to add the factions that there would be according to my theory:
-We would have a albiet severly weakend Shao Kahn, with his only loyal Ally Baraka.
-Shinnok and Mileena, thus pitting Baraka and Mileena against each other.
-Dragon King (Reptile), and henchmen(Khameleon, sub-boss, perhaps even wife)
-Quan-Chi -Drahmin, Quan with his magical abilites and the ONi powers of Drahmin added to them.
These are just some speculations as to who could be the main villians in MK:DE.

Ok let's look at it from this perception.The title Mortal Kombat Deception.Didn't Quan and Shang decieve Shao Kahn and kill him?Let's look at another thing.Baraka is one of the leaders of Shao Kahns out world armies,and he is back.Ok,the only deception in MK D.A.,was the decievement to Shao Kahn.The story would make perfect sense.If Baraka is there back in action,Shao kahn could also be there "lurking in the shadows".Remember Shao Kahn isn't a mortal so it could be possible.

I don't know who they are talking about in that video, but it isn't Baraka. I hope to God that it's Kahn.
