If you notice in one of the G.I scans,Nitewolfs axe throw fatality says "must be far away from opponent".I think we can all safely say that the distances are back!I for one am loving this.
Your thoughts?

this is what i said in the other thread:
do we really have to do the "close" "sweep" and "far" position to do the fatality? i dont like them. i like the MKDA way, where you can stand anywhere and successfully activate the fatality.
but i guess its ok, it does kind of bring back old MK feeling

I sure hope so!!! but i don't think its 4 sure...
In DA if u wanted a challenge u could choose to do the fatality WITHOUT going into Fatality stance, and u had to get the distance right

I'd rather not have Distance in Fatalities. But it doesn't matter. I'm good either way.

I really hope it is back too. It will make the fatalities seem less like "movies." Plus they will be harder to do so it will feel like more of an accomplishment to do one.

Yes it does make me feel like the old mk days. This is true about the fatality stance, but i don't think they would have posted that outside of the stance.I am keeping my fingers crossed about this one.It makes it all the more challenging.

i think it's ore challenging if u have the distance thingy in em. deadly alliance was tooooo simple, and adding the easy fatality didn'T make it any better. i for one am for the distance thing. i need a challenge

you didn't have to use the fatality stance in d.a. you could do it normally...while i do believe the fatality stance will return in deception...that doesn't mean you have to use it

This is true, but you say you didn't use the fatality stance. You could still be right up in your opponents face and do the fatality,no matter if it were far or near.

Well I don't think distance fatalities return... when you'll play against a human opponent and you beat him, he's in advantage because he doesn't have to care about distancve when he wnats to perform a hara-kiri. However iy will bring back good old MK feelings, I do not think it's te smartest thing for the developers to do.

Lmao.grin
Yeah I use to try it without the fatality stance just to see if you had to be a certain distance.I used Scorpion to test out that theory, and of course there was no distance involved.sad

idk...because it was easy in the old-school games because they were easy to move around...all you had to do was do 2 back jumps (which lasted 1 second) and you're at the end of the screen.
DA's sluggishness kinda makes the distances just..different, I cant really explain it

I doubt that distance in fatalities is back. First off, being a 3d game, it will be far too difficult to line it up right, and second it will make the race against hari-kiri's alot more difficult on the person trying to pull off the fatality. I actually hope they don't add the distance back in.

is still not confirmed so, i guess don't be that excited, then it will hurt more, and also i think it would be very difficult to add this on 3d, how are you going to be at the end of the screen, if everytime you move backwards, the camera makes a zoom out? how are you going to be at the end of it, if you need to press too many buttons, just to jump, well its very difficult in 3d, so.
but well nobody really knows
