I've been wondering myself. I was thrilled to find out that Reptile was going to come full circle... But then the Dragon King turns out to look like a giant bat and not Reptile.

But whatever happens, I'm sure that i'll like it... Just have to wait and see.

I saw pics of the DK as well, and he does kind of look like a big bat. Now not to bring back anything from MK's past to MKD, but does anyone notice the strange resemblence the DK has that reminds anyone of Shao Kahn? Look hard in the face. Perhaps the Dragon King being Shao Kahn is the Deception? That's why Reptile would have died at the end of MKDA, becuase he failed to stop Shang Tsung, and Quan Chi's attack? We'll have to wait, and see.

Huh...don't forget some dragons have wings. Perhaps Reptile grew some when he merged with the old Dragon King and in 'respect' to his dead master took on a helmet similar to Shao Kahn's. I hope the Dragon King does not turn out to be a Vampire. The Vampires need to have a more original agenda.

I completely agree. He has wings because he's a dragon. Simple as that. I also find the concept rather funny how Reptile has long been thought to be the Dragon King and now in artwork the Dragon King's skin seems to have a greenish tint or color to it.

I doubt Reptile becomes the Dragon King. The Dragon King was the original ruler of outworld before Shao Khan. I think reptiles ending won't happen. If anything the Dragon King probably could have used reptiles body (like them things in aliens) and grew himself inside of reptil. Once coming to form, and reptile being twisted and torn apart maybe the Dragon King could have restored Reptile to his Ninja form only more badass giving us our sub boss.

But I like the idea of Shao Khan being the Dragon King...sort of would make sence seeing as how his ex-wife will be in it as well.

LadyRaiden. I know that all western Dragons have wings... But the Dragon King looks human with bat-like wings, Kinda looks like a MK Vampire.

I didn't like the idea of Reptile being the DK and I still don't believe that he will be.

The DK looks very badass. I hope he isn't a vampire and I doubt he wil be as Nitara knew nothing of him, or so it seemed. And also, just because he is called the Dragon King, it does not mean he is a dragon or reptilian.

like it or not, reptile is the dragon king. and the dragon king isnt a vampire, his 100% dragon..why else would they call the dragon egg a dragon embryo?..if he was a viampire, it would have been a vampire embryo..duh.

the dragon king was "rebourn" into reptiles body.
