The Dragon Kings Undefeatable Army (A Theory)

posted08/06/2004 01:46 AM (UTC)by In MKDA we heard, and saw the Dragon King's army which was supposed to have been undefeatable. We saw Shang Tsung taking souls and resurrecting some of the soldiers. I really at first thought the army was going to play a major role in MKDA, but it didn't.
With all the stuff we know about MKD we still haven't seen anything about the DK's army. The only thing we have seen thus far (which is still in theory) is Li Mei's costume may be a Dragon King army outfit. I'm sure all will be answered in the intro video, but I'd like to get some ideas from you.
My theory has to do with Raiden. Before the Deadly Alliance splits up they successfully reanimate the entire Dragon King army. Coinciding with the hatching of the great dragon egg, and the rebirth of the Dragon King the army begins to leave the temple, and starts destroying everything it comes across.
The remaining forces of good try to fight the army, but to no avail. Raiden decides to try to destroy the Dragon King in hopes of ending his tyranny, and returning his army to lifeless corpses. Raiden releases his god-like essence in a huge ethereal blast. The blast completely destroys the DK's army, but leaves the DK virtually untouched. The Dragon King now has to fight the forces of good himself, and enlists the aid of Baraka, Mileena, and a few others.
That is how my theory of the beginning of Deception will be. Just an idea, so feel free to post your own, or add to mine. I'm really interested in what everyone thinks about the undefeatable army. Post on!!

*white film running out from the corners of my eyes* Paragrahs would help man!
*rubbing eyes*
Anyhoo, I think the army plays a big role in the story line. It may result in the good guys loosing this time cause... they're the Undefeaatable army!!!!
It would be interesting to know how The Dragon King was defeated before. Maybe the key to stoping the army is to defeat the Dragon King.

Are you relaxed enough to fight?

I really like your theory. I could definately see them doing this in the intro movie. If they can't ever be defeated would be really stupid. Raiden is a god so he released his godlike esance to defeat them. I think it makes sense.(In a mortal kombat kinda way)

Or I guess they could have earthrealms top fighters try to defeat the army. But what raiden did must have some kind of effect.

Well it's great theory and all. Just that I think everyones forgeting that this can't happen because MKD is taking place while MKDA is taking place probably when someone was fighting the DA.

i'd like to see a lvl where the DK army is below you and if you get knocked down, they gather around you like zombies and rip you to shreads.

Good theory. It's a good way to fill in the plot hole of the DK's army. Raiden's sacrafice most likely had more affect than we realize. All we know for certain is that it didn't harm the Dragon King.
For all we know, Smoke may be the very product of Rayden's Sacrafice. Rayden is a bit of an enigma at this point, whether he's alive/undead or evil/good.
