Sub Zero should turn into an army of penguins and peck the foe into oblivion. Scorpion should turn into...........a scorpion, much like MK4. Nitara as a leeck is good but she'd be much more suited to be a bat. Quan Chi would be a black widow spider. Shang Tsung would be a boa like MK3. And we all know what zombie Liu Kang will be.......a zombie dragon. Wouldn't that be cool? :p

Shang turned into a cobra, you can clearly see the cape of the extended ribs. And Quan as a great spider would be cool I guess, but no Animalities.

The panther is another name for two totally different species of great felines
the jaguar and the leopard, which can both be black (melanic form/opposite of albino), hence the black panther expression. The jaguar is more bulky than the leopard. It lives in south america and loves water. The leopard lives in africa, and is more nimble than tha jaguar. They are both roughly the same size, except the jaguar is a lot heavier.

I had a feeling there wouldn't be animalities, so i just put it there as a "what if?". Wow, how did I miss that Chrome? My bad. :p

I'm most agree with YingYeung for those :
Shang Tsung- A COBRA because it's his previous animality and because he make a fire cobra in the intro of MKD.
Sub-Zero- A POLAR BEAR is the biggest and most dangerous polar animal.
Shinnok- A WYVERN (usually a dragon-like creature with a scorpion tail)
Quan Chi- A CENTIPEDE (scolopendra morsitans). The sworn enemy of the scorpion (sworn enemy of Scorpion) and a very scary animal.
Kabal- The RHINO SKELETON was cool.
Kano- A TARANTULA is okay. What animal fits him anyway ?
Sonya- A HAWK. Females are always bigger and more powerful. And it's a fierce predator.
Johnny Cage- If I was Cage, I'd choose the LION. He kinda thinks he's the best right ?
Liu Kang- A DRAGON as always.
Reptile- Any REPTILE would fit nicely. Maybe a komodo dragon or a gila monster.
Baraka- The VULTURE fits his bald head perfectly.
Li Mei- A lesser feline like an OCELOT or a margay.
Noob Saibot- A BLACK PANTHER. Forget about the anteater !
Nightwolf- A WOLF. Nuff said.
Ermac- I'd see him turn into an army of FIRE ANTS !!! It's red and dangerous.
Kira- A RED FOX. Its a quick and aggressive animal, and it has red hair !
Fujin- The god of Wind needs to be an EAGLE.
Frost- An ARCTIC FOX because it manages to survive among greater carnivores and it is very clever.
Jax- A big, mean and strong DIRE APE, like a gorilla.
Drahmin- A rotten CROCODILE. He needs a big creature worthy of an Oni.
Mileena- A HYENA. It has a very powerful jaws (Mileena's teeth) and the females are the leaders and are more aggressive than the males. Fits her perfectly.
Jade- The very beautiful and poisonous DENDROBATES AURATUS.
Hsu Hao- A big and dangerous mammal. Maybe an ELEPHANT, a rhino or a hippo.
Nitara- A VAMPIRE BAT.
Shao Kahn- A HYDRA.
Goro- A giant regal-looking WARTHOG with many horns all over the snout.
Moloch- A giant creature like a DINOSAUR or a glyptodon.
Blaze- A PHOENIX.
But dont agree with those :
Kai- A TIGER (Let the Tiger goes to Kung Lao)
Scorpion (A Scorpion like in MK4, it's just kool)
Raiden- A THUNDER MYTHIC CREATURE would fit him. (Like A Thunderbird yeah !!!)
Smoke- I really don't know... maybe an OCTOPUS (Just let an hidden creature to this hidden/foggy character, like Manticore {Hybbrid fantastic creature betwin Lion, Scorpion, human}
Kobra (why not the Sabertooth !!!)

I was thinking of the raiden one you said ying, and I remembered this little factoid, the orginal raiden was a thundergod from japan that was rather monstrous to say the list, big death, demon like face you know, nasty, maybe our mortal kombat's thunder god could use that form as his animality, it would make sense after all, and be cool to see (and less scary then the raiden we know ;) )

About Scorpion: The animals in CAPS are those I chose for the characters. I said the penguin scrapped Scorpion's animality.
About Smoke: If I had to choose a mythical beast for Smoke, I'd choose the gorgon instead of the manticore. Do not confuse with the gorgonne Medusa. According to DnD, a gorgon is a giant bull of steel that emits petrifying smoke. Which ironically fits the previous animality of Smoke.
About Kobra: I agree the sabertooth fits him too. You know, there are probably others in my list that could fit one another anyway.
About Kitana: What animal would you think fits her best ? You didn't agree on the peafowl yet you didn't proposed another animal. I'd like to hear your suggestion about her animality; it's the one that made me work the most. I don't know about the rabbit thing... it just doesn't fit MK. You know cockfights ? (...roosters fights). The roosters are pretty aggressive. A man was killed by his fighting cock a year or two ago. They attch blades at their feet for combats. The cock attacked him at the groin and the dude died within minutes. Now imagine a giant rooster... IMO it fits her perfectly.

I'm pretty sure I heard about another raiden too... but this name always seems to be associated with electricity. Yeah that demon beast would be very nice.

Please reply in the other thread since it has the name Official in it .... No but seriously this is useless to have two threads about the same topic. Let's continue the debate in the other Animalities thread.

I don't mind if Animalities come back, as long as there do right, because they suck in Mk3, I guess that doesn't make sence?
And why the hell does everyone want Sub-Zero to be a Polar Bear, he should be an Abomabdominal Snowman. Rip the character in Half!

I wouldn't mind seing the Animalities back.
Here how I see it:
They said that the Fatalities would be Customable, but characters would each have an unique one.
For some , that special one could be an Animality.
Exemple: shang Tsung have is classic Soul Steal. Sindel has her classic Banshee Scream (hopefully with only the skin ripping appart), NightWolf changes in a wolf and eats the guts of the other caracter, Liu as the Dragon, Mokap has a Friendship...
That way every thing from past MK would be included. And not ALL characyters have to have an Animality, only a few, and since Mokap is a joke... well...
Hopefully they'll include a few Animality...
But nothing over the top like in UMK3... that was WAY to much!

I realized this thread was created a few hours prior to the one I am leaving open, but I feel that thread has generated just a bit more interesting discussion than this one... so I have left the other open in favour of community discussion.
