It is hard to tell who the Narrater could be talking about:

So you have to ask yourself;
Who wants to take over every realm?
Who from past MK's had a good ally?
Who would kill that ally for that above said power through deception?
Who is sinister and hides in the shadows?

There are so many possibilities on who the narrator could be talking about, i think we shold just wait and see and not to specculate to early.
it is interesting though trying to figure it out.. hehe.

Err.. there was no need for you type your reply (almost half of it in CAPITALS), I can read standard txt, I am expressing my opinion to you all, if you felt I was wrong and that you had a grievance to be taken up with my reply then I would have appreciated it more if you could have PM'ed me your problem.

Well, Shang Tsung and Quan Chi bothed used trust of an ally, but didn't really hide in the shadows. Shao Kahn has been hiding in the shadows, but didn' really use trust of an ally. And we don't know anything really about the Dragon King, or Baraka's new story. The only thing is, I never heard of anything that Baraka was trying to control all realms, and you have to imagine that the Dragon King is. So I think it's either talking about Quan Chi, Shang Tsung, Shao Kahn, Baraka, or the Dragon King.
