well it was before liu kang... that shinjuku was on that quest... and well mabe boon ment that hes probley "like" liu kang that hes good and probley has the same phsona as liu.. but thats just my theory..

Seems off to me since you have to beat knoquest to unlock him...I would think the hero would be already unlocked but its a good theory none the less. Can't wait fr this damn game!

I hope not, I just think that Boon is implying that Shujinko will take on the role of Liu Kang as main guardian of Earth. Odds are he will win Deception (or the DK, those are my guesses), but they will probably still spread the victories around (at least I hope they do, Liu Kang wins got boring after MK3).

I think he was talking about Konquest. I can't really see an old guy being the main hero, though I guess it's possible. I'm thinking he will be the main hero when it comes to Konquest, but only like a small novelty in actual arcade mode. Besides being old, it'd be very strange for the main hero to be a custom character. Like how would that work in MK7?

The hero is Sub-Zero. His heritage is probably based on the Dragon Amulet being what originally killed the Dragon King. Whether it is in this MK or in the next one, Sub-Zero will kill the Dragon King.

that sub zero theory is good but I hope they keep the DK around for a while, he looks so awesome they better not abandon him after this 1 game...one of the best bosses ive ever seen both graphic wise and story wise

I don't think it'd be Shunjinko. A custom character? I don't think so.
Sub-Zero wouldn't be either. The Lin Kuei couldn't have lasted 10's of milennia, so that scratches out Subby. (since Shao had ruled for 10000 years, & The Dragon King reigned before that)
Either a baddie will become the hero, or Liu Kang's back. (as much as I absolutely hate it).

i hope that shujinko wont be the champio in mkd and he desapears after this game, i would rather seen jax the main hero over shujinko

That's an interesting theory on sub-zero, but then again you could also possibly say that somehow shinnok was connected by that amulet or something like that.. who knows.

Anyway I think what will happen is that once you beat the game with all the characters, and do everything in conquest.. you will be able to use shijinko (sp), beating the game with him will grant you a sort of segway to the real truth of deception... sorta like, not the total outcome of the tournoment but a couple of possible leads with a cliffhanger to tie part of the deception endings together.

Like someone said before, Shujinko will be the hero of Konquest but play a small role in the "arcade" mode itself.

Im guessin Shujinko is killed off in the Arcade mode/canon ending of MKD and is seen as a hero in the eyes of the elder Gods

But he wont be the ultimate hero of MK:D

That role is for someone more recognised, Sub Zero or Lui Kang etc...
