To give an overview as to where we are at in the storyline, I will update this thread with a history of what happened to every character in every game. This information is all compiled STRAIGHT from the games combined with what is believed to be truth in EVERYBODY'S EYES. So bear with me here.
Raiden's History:
Raiden is eternal, and has been around for ages just as the other gods have. He was appointed as the God of Thunder and the protector of the Earth realm. He is a cautious god and watches Earth, making sure no harm comes to it at all, and is highly aware of ANY danger of ANY kind throughout the realms. He has the power of thunder and lightning at his side as well as excessive fighting skill. Indeed, he is the God of Thunder and protector of the Realm of Earth.
MKM: SZ
To defend Earthrealm from the traitor Shinnok, Raiden defeated him and threw him in the Netherealm and took the amulet and put it in the newly-built Temple of Elements with four elemental gods guarding it. However, when Sub-Zero was tricked into giving it to Quan-Chi for Shinnok, he forced him to go into the Netherealm and retrieve it. Unfortunately, neither he or Sub-Zero knew what they actually had was just a copy.
MKSF Raiden wasn't involved in this. He was just being the God of Thunder and watching over Earth.
MK1
The 10th Mortal Kombat tournament was on, and Raiden lost patience. Would the mortals pretty much GIVE themselves to Outworld in this tournament? Things heated up when Shang Tsung offered Raiden to compete, probably as a mockery to Earthrealm that not even a god could save them. Nevertheless, he joined, determined to do what he felt no one else would. While fighting, he found amazing potential in three warriors: Johnny Cage, Sonya, and especially the one named Liu Kang. He decided to help them and guide them to the championships. When they won, he decided maybe there was hope yet.
MK2
Raiden saw that Shao Kahn was inviting Earth warriors into Outworld to compete in the tournament. He knew this was ALOT more dangerous, and took it upon himself to warn the other warriors. However, he decided a warning wasn't enough. This was Shao KAhn they were dealing with. He NEEDED to be there, feeling they wouldn't be able to take him. He decided to join the Earth warriors in surviving this tournament. When he witnessed Shao Kahn's defeat, he began to have a little more faith in them...
MK3
(NOTE: Contrary to popular belief, Raiden's bio in MKT, along with Baraka's and Cage's, are NOT canon. Raiden was not involved in MK3). Raiden saw that Outworld had taken Earthrealm. BEcause of this, he could no longer do anything, as the Outworld gods now governed Earth. However, he decided he could do one thing - warn the Earth warriors about this threat. He did so, giving visions to each and every one of them. After that, he just watched.....wondering what the outcome would be. When he saw the Earth warriors win and he was restored as God of Thunder and protector of the realm of Earth, he began to finally believe THESE were the warriors Earth needed.
MK4
Raiden's old nemesis Shinnok is back from the Netherealm and is attacking the Heavens, and already has Edenia under his control. Knowing Earth is next, Raiden decides to go into battle with his old nemesis, but what he DOESN'T know is that he's going to get some help....Liu Kang surprisingly rounds up the Earth warriors to back him up. He reluctantly lets them (even ressurecting Cage, who had been begging to join the fight), but it turns out to be alot of help. Eventually, he and Liu Kang face off with Shinnok, and together they defeat him. The Heavens are back together, the Netherealm shrinks back to what it used to be, and everyone's happy. The Elder Gods, impressed with Raiden's heroics as well as how well he has guided the Earth warriors, decide he has earned his place among the Elder Gods. Raiden accepts this promotion, and makes Fujin the new protector of Earthrealm.
MKDA
When the Deadly Alliance makes their moves, Raiden urges the gods to get involved, but they don;t. Disgusted, he relinquishes his status as Elder God, and rounds up the Earth warriors to go into Outworld and conquer them all. He helps them to fight the DA.
As for what happened after that, who knows? We'll find out. But what we do know is....
MKD
Knowing that the Dragon King is here, Raiden decides to sacrifice his power to slow him down or dent him in some way.....but it doesn't work. What now?
Mileena's history
Mileena was created by Shang Tsung as a clone of Kitana, although her face is horribly disfigured like that of a mutant. She was believed to be Kitana's twin sister, an asset ("proof" if you will) to further confuse Kitana that the life she was living always was and hiding her from the truth. Despite this purpose, Mileena is horribly jealous of Kitana, believing that SHE is the true heir to Outworld's throne and willing to overthrow her at any cost. Until then, she is trained as an assassin for Shao Kahn, known for her lethal sai technique. Mileena also has the power to read Kitana's thoughts, them being "twins" and all.
MKM:SZ Mileena wasn't involved in this. She was in Outworld servicing Kahn. MKSF Mileena wasn't involved in this. She was in Outworld servicing Kahn. MK1 Mileena wasn't involved in this tournament. She was back in Outworld servicing Kahn.
MK2
Mileena's got a taste for power. She has secretly been working with Baraka (her secret lover) to overthrow Kahn so that they may take over Outworld. Until then, she keeps silent about it and continues her work as his lethal assassin. Her chance to knock Kitana out of the picture comes alive when she sees her talking to Liu Kang, an Earthrealm warrior. She immediately goes to Kahn and tells him of this treason, and she is ordered to kill Kitana. Willing to do the deed, she attacks her, but alas finds herself murdered.
MK3
After being killed by Kitana, Mileena's soul ascends to the Netherealm, where she is forced to work for the fallen Elder God reigning there known as Shinnok. While there, she can feel someone tugging at her soul. Shao Kahn is trying to ressurect her. Shinnok allows it to be so (secretly testing Mileena's loyalty) and Mileena finds herself reborn on Outworld. Once again under Shao Kahn, she is ordered to track Kitana down and murder her. Much obliged, she sets out to do so (although Mileena is aware Shinnok is testing her loyalty, and soon plans to overthrow Shao Kahn, as he scares her more than Kahn does). Mileena eventually finds Kitana and they once again duel, and once again Mileena finds herself murdered and back in the Netherealm.
MK4
Mileena is terrified. Shinnok has intimidated her in no way that Shao Kahn could ever manage. She desperately wants to escape his reign. When the Netherealm attacks and Shinnok begins his power struggle, Mileena takes her chance. She decides to go after Kitana, to kill her and end their rivalry and also it would be in the name of Shinnok, as she is hunted after by his Army of Darkness, she is an enemy. However, once she's dead, she will desert and run from Shinnok as fast as she can....finally, she meets Kitana. IT IS UNKNOWN WHAT HAPPENS TO MILEENA AFTER THIS, BUT WHAT IS KNOWN IS THAT MILEENA LOSES THE FIGHT.
MKDA
NO ONE KNOWS WHERE MILEENA WAS AT THIS POINT.
MKD
It is unknown what happened to Mileena at the end of MK4 and what she's been doing ever since, but it turns out she is now under the service of the Dragon King. Her mission is to lure Kitana's armies away to give him time to plan his moves. Since she looks every bit like Kitana, Mileena goes forth and lures the armies of Edenia away....however, she plans on using them to do so much more, and her lover Baraka is the only one aware of it.....hmmmmm.....
Sindel's history
Sindel was the warrior queen of Edenia along with her husband King Jerrod and their newborn daughter, the princess Kitana. However, Outworld challenged Edenia to Mortal Kombat, with plans to add them to their empire. THe battles commenced, but Edenia lost all of them. When Outworld invaded, they would refuse to bow to them, and the Edenians put up a fight. However, they were crushed, and Shao Kahn himself murdered Jerrod. He forced Sindel to become his queen and Kitana his daughter. Sindel could not take living in fear under Kahn's tyranny and watching her only daughter Kitana being trained to be an assassin for him. Not willing to take all the pain in, Sindel murdered herself. Angry at her for such a heinous act, Shao Kahn used his power to trap Sindel's soul, not allowing it to ascend. Her body was buried on the Earthrealm, though, for a greater purpose....
MKM: SZ
Setting his sights on Earth as of late, Kahn was frustrated at taking realms through Mortal Kombat. Then, opportunity knocked. The sorcerer Quan-Chi was searching for his god Shinnok's amulet, and asked Kahn's sorcerer Shang Tsung where the Map of Elements was, as it would lead him to the location of where it was. Aware of Kahn's plans, Tsung made an exchange - he would tell Quan-Chi where the Map of Elements was ONLY IF his god Shinnok agreed to taint Sindel's soul with evil, so when she was reborn, she would have no memory of her former life, and would be corrupted with Outworld's intentions. It was agreed, and for some time, Sindel's soul was passed into the Netherealm where Shinnok performed the dark deed onto her.... MKSF Sindel's body was buried on Earth while her soul was in the Netherealm being tainted with evil. She had no part of this.
MK1 Sindel's body was buried on Earth while her soul was in the Netherealm being tainted with evil. She had no part of this. MK2 Sindel's body was buried on Earth while her soul was in the Netherealm being tainted with evil. She had no part of this.
MK3
Finally the time came. Shang Tsung was ordered to sneak out of the Outworld tournament to perform the heinous act of ressurecting Sindel on the Earthrealm with the evil-tainted soul. He did so, and Sindel's rebirth gave Outworld the power to step into Earth and conquer it without Mortal Kombat. Once reborn, Sindel was totally at Shao Kahn's side, every thought the same as his, wanting only the destruction of the Earth warriors and the total domination of Outworld. However, she began to have visions of a former life....the life she had before Kahn entered it. She was confused about these dreams, and decided to knock them out of her head. However, the dreams became a reality once her daughter Kitana appeared to her. Through a hard-fight, Kitana desperately tried to get Sindel's mind right again, and eventually, she succeeded. She managed to win Sindel over, as her mother! From then, she helped Kitana and the other warriors against Shao Kahn. Eventually, they won, and Earth returned to normal and Edenia set itself apart from Outworld. Sindel and Kitana then returned to Edenia to rule it once more and return things to the way they were....
MK4
Sindel was taken hostage by Shinnok and the Netherealm once they invaded Edenia (with Tanya's help). However, she was saved once the Earth warriors, Raiden, and Kitana beat them back. After that, she returned to being the queen of Edenia with Kitana.
MKDA
Sindel was busy running Edenia while Kitana was off fighting what was left of Outworld. Perhaps it was she herself who ordered the war against them?
MKD
It is a rumor (RUMOR!!) that Kitana, ever since being captured by the Dragon King, has been brainwashed by him and is siding with him. Knowing that her daughter needs to be saved (after all, didn't she save her from being brainwashed?), Sindel decides to go forth and challenge the Dragon King. However, knowing she can't perform the task by herself, she brings along Kitana's trusted friend Jade. CAN THEY DO IT!!?
More coming.

Sounds good except it's never stated that Mileena died in MK3. She might have, but she might not have even fought Kitana. She could have just been summoned back to the Netherealm with Noob Saibot after Shao Kahn was defeated.
And who said Trilogy wasn't canon? If that were true than not only were Raiden, Baraka, and Johnny Cage not involved, but Mileena wasn't resurrected by Shinnok and he didn't send her back to spy on Shao Kahn because that was stated in Trilogy. In UMK3 she was resurrected by Kahn and in her ending she takes Sindel and Kitana hostage.

These are cool! Thanx!

I consider MK3 this: UMK3 with ELEMENTS of MKT. So, all the new bios given to the added charachters of UMK3 (Mileena and Ermac and Noob Saibot) and also the presence of Rain and Khameleon I consider canon, and yet I feel Raiden, Goro, Kintaro, Cage, and Baraka had no part in MK3.
You have a point about whether or not Mileena fought Kitana in MK3, but....one thing's for sure and 1) She REALLY wants Kitana dead and 2) In MKG, it's confirmed that she works for Shinnok. So, I think it's accurate.

and yet, really, it's the only thing that makes sense. The whole MK1 story is pretty jumbled as it is.

lol. Read Cage's MK: DA story. It states that he never really died, and it was all just a part of his movie. (John Vogel DID confirm this at fight night via a private pm. He said it was stupid to kill him only to bring him back, later, so he fixed it.)

It's even stupider to pretend it never happened.

The Johnny Cage's Death in MK3, and only his death, isn't stupid to try that it never happened, because this death happened because Midway fired the actor who interpreted Johnny Cage, and without the actor, the MKTeam decided to kill Cage, but initially Cage didn't die.

No, you know what, you guys are right. Screw continuity. Johnny Cage never died. Scorpion never found out Sub-Zero is the younger brother.
Why stop there? Maybe Kitana never killed Mileena at all. Maybe it was all just a dream. A crazy delusion Mileena had. Even better, maybe Liu Kang never won the first MK. And hey, maybe the original Sub-Zero never died either. Maybe he won the tournament and he never came back because he's celebrating in in Bermuda.

LOL
Anyway, I'm gonna try my best to keep this bumped. Everytime IGN gives out some bios of some other characters, I will post the history of those same characters.

Everything sounds good. Except this. It was never mentioned that Kahn challenged Edenia to Mortal Kombat. He just came along and crushed the realm completely. Jerrod's forces gave whatever they had to defend there realm by Kahn's armies were too deadly and strong and wounded up being slaughtered. Jerrod was slain by Kahn and the Emperor took queen Sindel as his wife with Kitana as his stepdaughter. Kahn had plans to invade the Earth realm but it was then that the Elder Gods put a stop to this by creating a tournament called Mortal Kombat in which Earth fighters get to battle Outworld Warriors.

thats a good thing that johnny cage never died.Thats good that they fixed that.

OK, people. Tomorrow's Monday and if what IGN said is true and they're gonna release 3 bios every week, then tomorrow they should do that.
Expect those characters' FULL storylines tomorrow along with them.

From IGN.com
"That's it for now. We'll see you again in a few weeks with the next installment of The Kombatants of MK: Deception. See you then"
I doubt that this week they put new bios, although hopefully it's thus.

Aw shit, I read wrong. Oh well....we can hope.

Well, looks like X-Box gave those bios to us instead of IGN. So, here we go, people....
Darrius' history
Darrius comes from the Realm of Order, where he is the leader of an army determined to overthrow the system. To some people, what he's doing has a righteous cause, but to others, he is nothing more than a terrorist.
and that's all we know.
Shujinko's history
As a young boy, Shujinko was chosen by the Elder Gods to retrieve an item for them. His journey took him many years and he gained much fighting experience while on it. He is considered to be one of the greatest fighters ever....
and that's all we know.
Scorpion's history
Scorpion is a vengeful spectre in the Netherealm bent on revenge on the one who murdered his family and clan. He will stop at nothing to kill he who took his last scrap of happiness from him. This is his story...
MKM:SZ
Hanzo Hasashi, or Scorpion as he was called in the battlefield, was an assassin for the Shirai Ryu, a Japanese ninja clan that was created by a former leader of the Lin Kuei, thus making their clans enemies. One day, Quan-Chi approached them and asked for Scorpion's services in retrieving a map for him. For the right price, they agreed and Scorpion went to the Shaolin Temples in China to get it. While there, he met his rival Sub-Zero and they raced for the map. They ended up fighting over it, but Sub-Zero bested Scorpion. He begged for mercy, but Sub-Zero granted none, killing Scorpion. His soul fled for the Netherealm, where he was imprisoned inside the Prison of Souls. While there, he learned that his family and clan had been slaughtered by Sub-Zero. Vengeful, he vowed to kill the ice ninja ever since. He got his chance when Sub-Zero mysteriously appeared in the Netherealm. Sub-Zero seemed confused about murdering his family and clan, but Scorpion wasted few words and fought him with all his might and supernatural skills. Despite all of this, Scorpion was bested once more. His vengeance would have to wait.
MKSF
Scorpion was not involved in this storyline.
MK1
Scorpion was seething with vengeance. Somehow he had to kill Sub-Zero. FInally, the leader of the Netherealm (possibly Shinnok?) made a deal with him: he could get out to get his revenge, but not only would he have to return, but his memories of his family and clan would disappear forever. Deciding when it all came down to it, he had nothing to lose, Scorpion agreed and was allowed to ascend to Earthrealm to claim his revenge. There, he tracked Sub-Zero and followed him onto a ship, to which took them to the island where the infamous Mortal Kombat tournament would take place. Scorpion entered and fought off opponents madly, until finally his match with Sub-Zero came up. Sub-Zero was surprised at his appearance, and the two fought once more. Scorpion was victorious this time and took his revenge on the ice ninja, murdering him. Then, Scorpion descended to the Netherealm.
MK2
Scorpion couldn't figure why his memories of his family and clan hadn't been erased, but thought nothing of it, knowing he had taken his revenge. That all came to a halt when he heard that Sub-Zero was still alive. In a rage, he was allowed to take his revenge once more. Scorpion followed him into the Outworld where he would find another tournament to compete in. It's debatable what exactly happened after this. Some say that he witnessed Sub-Zero spare the life of an opponent and he realized this wasn't the same Sub-Zero and decided to protect him throughout the tournament to repay him, while others say Scorpion met Sub-Zero in battle, and Sub-Zero defeated him and Scorpion went back to the Netherealm, vowing vengeance for another day. Either way, he does end up back in the Netherealm.
MK3
When Outworld attacks the Earthrealm, they also attack the Netherealm. However, Shinnok is every bit a match for Shao Kahn and the Netherealm armies fight them off. During this war, Scorpion escapes from the Netherealm free to roam the Earth as he pleases. It's debatable what happens after this. Some say he immediately began his search for Sub-Zero to kill him but once they met he was immediately defeated once more, while others say Shao Kahn enlisted Scorpion in his armies in return for life, but when Scorpion found that Sub-Zero was an enemy, he decided against it and protected the ice ninja once more. Either way, when it all ends, Scorpion returns to the Netherealm.
MK4
Shinnok begins his takeover of the realms, and Quan-Chi knows that they could use Scorpion's help in many things. He approaches him and makes him an offer he can't refuse - life in exchange for service. Scorpion agrees, but Quan-Chi knows him better. He knows he will kill Sub-Zero, who happens to be one of his enemies, and they need him dead for he has secrets that could end Shinnok's life (others say that Quan-Chi revealed to Scorpion that Sub-Zero DID murder his family and clan, thus turning him against him. Either way, Scorpion is at Sub-Zero's throat again). Scorpion serves in Shinnok's army, and eventually meets up with Sub-Zero. They fight viciously and this time Scorpion is the victor. Before he can kill him, Quan-Chi appears and reveals that HE murdered Scorpion's family and that he was just used to take Sub-Zero out. Quan-Chi then tries to take Scorpion back to the Netherealm, but in a rage at knowing the truth, Scorpion rushes at Quan-Chi and takes him down with him. Scorpion can now torture Quan-Chi all he wants for the rest of eternity....
MKDA
Scorpion tortured Quan-Chi relentlessly and unmercifully, his power growing while Quan-Chi's faded. However, luck swung Quan-Chi's way when two Oni named Moloch and Drahmin showed him a way out of the Netherealm using the sacred amulet he possessed. Scorpion would not let him escape so easily, and he chased down Quan-Chi...all the way to of the portal out of the Netherealm. When Scorpion emerged, he awoke back in Outworld. He then began his search for Quan-Chi. He found him at Shang Tsung's fortress, and attacked him right there. But Quan-Chi was more powerful now that he was out of the Netherealm, and he managed to take Scorpion out. Scorpion would not back down and continued to search for Quan-Chi. His search was long throughout Outworld, but he found his way into a secret passageway in Shang Tsung's fortress. While going through it, Scorpion was surprised to see Moloch and Drahmin there, and they attacked him. He fought hard, but was no match for two Oni. They beat him down and to destroy Scorpion, they threw him into the Soulnado that Shang Tsung was using to obtain souls. Had Scorpion suffered the second death?
MKD
Evidently, no. Through getting thrown in the Soulnado, he found a void where he barely escaped the souls, who would've tore him apart. Through this void, he saw the Elder Gods....
and that's where we are left in anticipation.
Sub-Zero's History (1) = Older, (2) = Younger
Sub-Zero is a ninja that works for the Lin Kuei, a secret clan of Chinese assassins. He has the power of ice and uses it to conquer his enemies. His past is unknown, but that's not important, as he is a lethal assassin who knows no compassion when it comes to killing.
MKM:SZ
(1) = Sub-Zero is sent on a mission by the Lin Kuei Grandmaster to retrieve a map. In return, the sorcerer Quan-Chi (who arranged this mission) will eliminate the Shirai Ryu, the Lin Kuei's rivals. Sub-Zero goes to the Shaolin Temples to get it, but surprisingly finds his rival Scorpion there too! They raced for the map and finally fought over it, a battle which Sub-Zero won and with his victory he took Scorpion's life as well. He got the map and returned it to Quan-Chi and the LKG. The Shirai Ryu had been eliminated as promised, and Quan-Chi said that the map was needed for Sub-Zero's next mission - to find the Temple of Elements and retrieve a sacred amulet that was inside. He used the map to find the Temple and went inside. While there, Sub-Zero had to face and conquer all the might of the four elements - wind, earth, water, and fire. He had to deal with death traps and puzzles, but he found his way through and persevered, even against the might of Fujin The Wind God, The Earth God, The Water God, and The Fire God. Once he defeated the Fire God, he found the amulet! Before he could retrieve it, Quan-Chi did. It turns out he was only using Sub-Zero to eliminate all blocks in the road. He would use the amulet to give back to Shinnok, his god, and with it they would take over the realms. Soon, Raiden appeared and told Sub-Zero he just put the Earth in grave danger and would now take responsibility for it - he would have to go into the Netherealm himself and get the amulet back. Sub-Zero did so, and awoke in the Prison of Souls. His first attempt to escape was prevented by the Netherealm guards. When he was thrown back in his cell, he was surprised at who his cellmate was - SCORPION! Scorpion was accusing him of murdering his family and clan, which Sub-Zero knew nothing about, but they fought nevertheless and Sub-Zero won. He then used the opportunity to escape again and this time he was successful, even defeating the demonic Warden. Little did he know he was being watched by Quan-Chi's three assassins Kia, Jataaka, and Sareena. They alerted the keepers of the bridge to attack Sub-Zero. It didn't faze him, and he defeated all 4 Keepers, and crossed it all the way to Shinnok's Fortress. While inside trying to retrieve keys to Shinnok's Hideout, he was attacked by Kia, Jataaka, and Sareena. Kia and Jataaka were defeated, but Sub-Zero spared Sareena's life for some strange reason. He continued on and eventually found Quan-Chi. All plots revealed, the two fought in pure rage, however Sub-Zero didn't finish the fight. Sareena appeared and sent the sorcerer off of the platform. Sareena wanted Sub-Zero to take her out of the Netherealm, but before more words could be exchanged, Shinnok appeared and ended Sareena's life. Sub-Zero couldn't fight Shinnok, he was too powerful, so he found a way to steal the amulet from him and he quickly ran out of the Netherealm. He found Raiden waiting for him and he gave the amulet to him. After that, he went back to the Lin Kuei HQ where he found that a sorcerer named Shang Tsung stopped by. He was here to invite Sub-Zero to a tournament called Mortal Kombat....
MKSF
Sub-Zero wasn't involved in this.
MK1
(1) = Despite being invited, Shang Tsung was a target. Someone wanted him dead and paid the Lin Kuei to do the deed. The LKG figured Sub-Zero could use his invitation to the tournament to do the deed and sent him on his quest. Sub-Zero boarded the ship to the island where the tournament would be held. He went up against many opponents, knowing each victory brought him closer to ending Shang Tsung's life. But he was in for a surprise. He met Scorpion in battle! He was here to claim his revenge. This time, it was Scorpion who was victorious, and Sub-Zero found himself killed by the spectre, his mission incomplete.
MK2
(2) = This was bad news indeed. Rumor had it that the old Sub-Zero was dead and Shang Tsung was still alive. When the news was confirmed, the Lin Kuei sent another assassin to do the job: Sub-Zero's younger brother. They decided to give him the name SUB-ZERO. He then went off to do his job, which led him into Outworld. There, he would end Shang Tsung's life even though he didn't know there was a bigger fish to fry. After this is a debatable issue - some say that Sub-Zero met Scorpion and fought against him and won, while others say he never met Scorpion and he was protected by the spectre once he witnessed him spare an opponent's life. It hasn't been made clear yet. Anyway, Sub-Zero learned from Raiden the reason of Scorpion's presence and everyone learned he was actually the younger brother of the original Sub-Zero. He decided to join the other Earth warriors in hopes of maybe completing his mission through them. He helped them fight all the way. Little did he know his friend Smoke was protecting him. Finally, once Liu Kang won the tournament, Sub-Zero and Smoke both returned to the Lin Kuei. He didn't complete his mission, but he learned that there was a bigger picture.
MK3
(1) = It is rumored that the masked blue ninja is, in fact, the original Sub-Zero who was killed by Scorpion in MK1. Nobody knows his exact purpose, but it's believed that he enters the fray to complete his mission from the grave - destroy Shang Tsung. However, it never gets done and when it's all finished, this Sub-Zero returns to wherever it was his soul emerged from....
(2) = When Sub-Zero returns to the Lin Kuei, he finds that they are transforming their ninjas into cyborgs to make themselves more advanced assassins. When Sub-Zero is expected to convert, he refuses, believing it's wrong. His friend, Smoke, also refuses. They are both marked for death and they escape. However, Smoke is caught while Sub-Zero continues to run......As he is running, he receives a vision from Raiden. Apparently, the Outworld invasion is imminent and he must join up with the other Earthrealm warriors to fight it. Feeling a sense of duty, he meets up with these allies and fights off Outworld with them. However, he finds himself attacked by three Lin Kuei cyborgs who are ordered to kill him - Cyrax, Sektor, and......Smoke. Sub-Zero manages to get Smoke over to the good side, proving to him his soul isn't entirely gone, and with his help, he defeats Cyrax and Sektor. They leave Sektor on the ground, but decide to reprogram Cyrax to help them fight against Shao Kahn. (It is also speculation as to whether Sub-Zero ever fought Scorpion in this. Some say Scorpion continued to protect him, while others say they never met, while others say they met and fought and Sub-Zero defeated him once more). When it's all done, Sub-Zero disappears. Who knows where he's gone.....
MK4
(2) = Sub-Zero hears of Shinnok and his Army of Darkness taking over the realms. It fills him with rage as he remembers the story that his older brother, the first Sub-Zero, told him about the time he encountered Shinnok and Quan-Chi. He also told him Shinnok's weakness is his amulet among other secrets in case Shinnok appeared again. With these things in mind, Sub-Zero decides to put on his brother's garb and head into battle with the other Earth warriors. He fought and fought, and then ran into Scorpion, who was fighting for Shinnok. (It is speculation as to whether Scorpion was once again after him, or if Quan-Chi told Scorpion that Sub-Zero murdered his family and clan). The two warriors fought and fought, and Scorpion was the victor. Before he could kill Sub-Zero, he told him he didn't kill his family and clan, and that's when Quan-Chi appeared and revealed it was he who was behind Scorpion's pain. After that, they both disappeared, but at least Sub-Zero was saved. He continued to fight with the other Earth warriors, and when it was all done, Sub-Zero returned to the shadows, but all this gave him new motivation. It was time for a change. HIGH TIME.
MKDA
During his time off, Sub-Zero returned to the Lin Kuei to find it had a new leader - Sektor. He had possession of a Dragon Medallion that increased his power, but Sub-Zero managed to beat Sektor down. He took the Dragon Medallion for himself and took control of the Lin Kuei, even moving them to the Arctic away from China. The Dragon Medallion increased his power tenfold, in ways Sub-Zero was still discovering. The Lin Kuei now under his control, Sub-Zero deciding to use it as a force for good. He started by holding a tournament to recruit new members. One of them was an ice ninja named Frost. So impressed by her, he decided to teach her himself, although he didn't know what her true intentions were. Soon, he was paid a visit by Raiden telling him he needs to go to the island where the first MK was held. It's urgent. Sub-Zero asked if he could bring Frost along, and Raiden agreed. So, they went off, and had a meeting about the threat of the Deadly Alliance. Sub-Zero and Frost then moved in to battle the DA. (NOTE: Up to here, it is speculation as to what happened. Some say Sub-Zero ended up meeting Sareena, the warrior who helped his brother escape the Netherealm years ago. He decided to take her to the Lin Kuei HQ as shelter). When the battle was over, Sub-Zero and Frost went home, but then Frost attacked him and stole the Dragon Medallion, wanting to take the Lin Kuei over herself. However, she ended up frozen solid, not able to handle its power. It is debatable as to if Sub-Zero took her back with him, or if he left her for dead. But he returned to the Lin Kuei.
MKD
Sub-Zero moves in to battle Baraka and the Tarkatans in Outworld to help the Earth warriors destroy the Dragon King, now even more powerful now that he knows the secret of his heritage. That is all we have for now.
Baraka's history
Baraka is a Tarkatan, one of many nomadic mutants living in the wastelands of Outworld. He is known to be unpredictable and extremely dangerous, one minute calm and the next minute splitting heads open. His fighting style is peak, but his secret weapons are the blades that portrude in and out of his skin that he uses to tear his opponents apart. Baraka has a love for violence and is not afraid to show it.
MK2
Impressed by his fighting style, Shao Kahn made Baraka a general of his armies. His first mission - to send a little message to Liu Kang via violence. He and the Outworld armies entered Earthrealm and tore apart Liu Kang's Shaolin temples and murdered every single person there, leaving not one body functioning. Then he returned to Outworld, where he agreed to compete in the tournament they were having against Earthrealm. HE would fight for his realm. However, it was all a front. Baraka was secretly planning with his lover, Mileena, to eliminate Kahn and take the realm for themselves. Until then, they'd have to lay low and pledge their loyalty to Kahn as usual. While in the tournament, Baraka was defeated (possibly by Liu Kang). (NOTE: Now it depends what happened after this. Some say he stood his ground, others say he feared punishment by Kahn and so he deserted....to who knows where).
MK3
(NOTE: OK, I personally don't believe this happened, but I'm trying to be unbiased as possible.)Baraka was ordered by Kahn to take the Tarkatans and prevent any Outworld rebellion against his upcoming invasion of Earth. Baraka did so, and took out anyone who dared betray Kahn. Once that mission was accomplished, Baraka returned to Kahn's side to join the hunt for the Earthrealm warriors and serve his emperor. However, he was defeated and fearing that something worse would happen to him, Baraka fled to who knows where......(NOTE: I don't believe this happened because this storyline is completely out of character for Baraka. He's nobody's bitch. He betrays just like Kano does).
MK4
Since his desertion of Outworld, Baraka has been a wanderer, wandering the realms and learning all sorts of new things. While passing through Edenia, he was approached by Quan-Chi. He made him a deal - although at the present time he was serving alongside Shinnok, he had plans to betray the fallen god and claim everything as his own. He would reward Baraka some of the power IF he helped him to eliminate Shinnok. Baraka agreed and worked as a secret agent for Quan-Chi.....It is unknown what happened after this. But it's obvious he didn't get what he wanted.
MKDA
Baraka was MIA. Who knows where he was?
MKD
It is unknown how Baraka ended up being one of the Dragon King's generals, but here he is now, and the Dragon King has given him the mission of taking his Tarkatans and fighting off any resistance that Outworld may give out. However, it appears he and Mileena just may be planning to deceive him and take it all for themselves. It also appears as though he and Sub-Zero may confront eachother......We'll have to wait and see.
More coming.
Darrius' history
Darrius comes from the Realm of Order, where he is the leader of an army determined to overthrow the system. To some people, what he's doing has a righteous cause, but to others, he is nothing more than a terrorist.

As a young boy, Shujinko was chosen by the Elder Gods to retrieve an item for them. His journey took him many years and he gained much fighting experience while on it. He is considered to be one of the greatest fighters ever....

| \ The Johnny Cage's Death in MK3, and only his death, isn't stupid to try that it never happened, because this death happened because Midway fired the actor who interpreted Johnny Cage, and without the actor, the MKTeam decided to kill Cage, but initially Cage didn't die. |
Well... they cvould have thought of something better!!! I meen, "Oh, nm, he was just acting and everyone thought he diad for a while... big deal" doeasn't really cut it.
Have the gods bring him back as a prize or a help to prevent Shinnok from taking over! Even a bad resurrection is better than, "LALALA!!! never happened!!! LALALA!!!"

I'm hoping that if there is a Collector's Edition of MKD like Gamespot said, The History of MK DVD should have a feature where it will have every character in the game, as well as the OFFICIAL story line of their participation in MK. A story line that explains their past, what ending really happened in their games, and in characters such as Smoke, how they got to be they way they are now.

Jade's History
Jade is an Edenian woman, and ever since she can remember, she has been trained by Shao Kahn to be an assassin along with Kitana and Mileena. However, while training, she and Kitana developed a close relationship, eventually becoming best friends. Despite this soft spot for Kitana, Jade is a formidable assassin, and has many skills that have earned her a feared name in all of Outworld.
MK2
When the Outworld tournament is underhand, Jade is aware of Kitana's plot to give aid to the Earth warriors on how to defeat Shao Kahn. She is aware of everything about Kitana that others have no clue about. Feeling obligated to be a friend, Jade watches over Kitana from the shadows, making sure no harm comes to her friend and that her secret remains a secret. However, eventually, Kitana is caught and is out on the lam. Jade can only wonder where Kitana is now as she is left behind to serve Kahn.
MK3
When Shao Kahn decides to send some warriors to bring Kitana back, he sends Jade, Reptile, and Mileena after her. Jade, however, is conflicted about the matter. She debates over serving her emperor or betraying her lifelong friend. After much thought-out time spent, Jade decides to side with Kitana. She finds her, but it turns out Reptile is there too to kill her. She prevents it and expresses her allegiance to Kitana. She helps pave the way through Outworld's forces so that Kitana can get to Sindel and warn her of the truth. When it is all over, Jade returns to a new Edenia with Kitana and Sindel, now in the service of her best friend in her native kindgom, and heralded as a hero.
MK4
Jade was held captive by Shinnok and his forces while in Edenia along with Sindel and other Edenians, but was freed when he was defeated.
MKDA
Jade remained back in Edenia.
MKD
It is unknown what is happening, but evidently Jade witnessed the return of the Dragon King AND also witnessed her old friend Kitana suffer a disturbing fate. She goes to warn the queen Sindel, but finds she is being held captive by Tanya. Jade frees her, and together they set off to defeat the Dragon King and save Kitana.

Some of the stories are messed up. I would actually have to have the creators of mortal kombat straighten them up. Where did it say that cage didn't die? Sub zero had to have fought scorpion since he got the scar from him during MK2. And in any of the games or manuals did it say that shinnok offered scorpion life again. It said that it was his own demons that brought him back to life to avenge his unmerciful death. eh was originally only meant to beat sub zero in battle and avenge his defeat. He was filled with hate for him though that he killed him. Since he did that he was cursed to live in the neatherealm without the memories of his family. Shinnok had nothing to do with him for the first mk game. As for him in MK3 it is most likely that he just escaped from the neatherealm when shao kahn made a failed attempt to claim its souls. His other bio saying the gift of life for services is pretty much the same that was used for MK4. Just like in the MKGold manual it says for cyrax that he is searching to kill sub zero and goes undetected against shinnoks invasion of earthrealm. That bio is the exact same for the one he had in MK3, they just replaced Shao Kahn with Shinnok. Its only later learned that he was found stranded in the desert after MK3. Some of MK trilogy wasn't canon, it was just meant to have the characters from all the games. Baraka i'm sure wasn't in there. He was killed by kung lao in MK2, thats why he had those staples in his body for MK4.
There should be a seperate page for characters and their history. One where it would show the screen of characters and click on the person we want to know about.

Shinnok and Quan Chi sent Scorpion back to kill Sub-Zero. This was revealled in MK:Mythologies. When Scorpion died, his soul went to the Netherealm which is Mortal Kombat's version of Hell. Shinnok and Quan Chi wanted Sub-Zero dead for stealing Shinnok's Amulet back, so they sent Scorpion. They didn't care about his personal reasons.
It was never stated in any game that Baraka was killed at any time. In MK Gold it said he was simply wandering around until Quan Chi offered to let him in Shinnok's army.
And some are suggesting that Johnny Cage's MK:DA bio was intended to imply that he never died at all. I personally don't buy it.
