This thread is dedicated to the solving of the great controversies of Mortal Kombat Deception. If we all use this thread for controversial stuff, it can keep the thread count down, and the post count in other threads.

I know many of these have been solved, but I just wanted to work these out logically and allow people who missed other conclusions that board members have come to through reason.If any new controversies come up, feel free to post them in this thread. So without further aideu, I present MKD's greatest controversies thus far.

1.The appearance of Smoke:

Facts:
-In late April/ early May a picture of a caucasian man in a blackish gray lin keui outfit started to circulate amongst many game magazines.
This picture turned out to be just an alternate outfit for Noob Saibot.

-There is what appears to be a cyborg on the character select screen of MKD. Most people are saying this is Sektor, although Sektor hasn't officially been confirmed.

- Konqrr and other insiders, who are generally very reliable have told us that Smoke is neither human nor cyborg, and that we will be surprised by his appearance.

Possible conclusions: The appearance of smoke is a mystery to us right now. Currently, my best guesses are that A) Konqrrr and crew are right; if this is so, I believe Smoke to be the 23rd square on the character select screen, with the odd shaped head. B) If they were wrong, it would seem Smoke would just be a cyborg. The likelyhood of him being human is slim to none. I'm trusting the Konqrr on this one.

2.Skab/ Noob
Facts:
-In late March/ early april, pictures of Noob Saibot in his traditional Black outfit with black skin surfaced.

-In late April the afformentioned "Smoke Saibot" picture surfaced; this was later proven to be Noob Saibot.

-In late April/ May, pictures of a character named "Skab"

-In May, a gamespot video surfaced, clearly showing The Skab character with the name "Noob" on his life bar.

-Insiders claim that Skab was just an early design for Noob, and they decided to turn it into a whole no character.

Conclusion: I don't know exactly how to deal with this one, having seen the evidence in front of my face. Although, since I doubt there will be 3 outfits per-character, I'm going to go with Skab being a new character, and not the Noob Saibot alternate outfit he once might have been.

3.Sektor In Mortal Kombat Deception:

-In May a select screen from E3 surfaced, thanks to the MKO staff. It featured a cyber ninja in the 16th square (2nd row, 8th spot.) This was thought to be Smoke by some. Others however, insist that Smoke will not be a cyborg, and that it's Sektor.
-Sektor is confirmed by the Spanish version of Gamepro.

Conclusion: This is a tough one, because we basically have no proof whatsoever as to who the cyber ninja is. It could very well be Cyrax for all we know. But once again, we know Konqrr and the crew (sorry I forget the other big insider's user name) have never been wrong thus far. We'll just have to wait and see.
