I am hoping that both Sektor and Smoke return in MKD. And with their return, I hope to see a brand new look for them both. They say Smoke won't be either cyber or human, so I'm hoping however he looks, he looks badass.

Sektor should look more evil and leader like now that he has the Tekunin, if that is true. And I guess his robotic features should be twisted and morphed a little to show this.

Shadaloo: You bring up a lot of interesting points. Sektor's alt is one hell of a mystery. I mean, I was always under the impression that the Cyrax would not have been able to survive with his metal armor components unless he underwent surgical processes with the special forces. So the question is, could we visiblely see Sektor in the flesh in this game? I can't help but to wonder if his flesh was even preserved correctly. BTW, when I release my fanfic(Mortal Kombat Atrocities), you might be interested in it. It's based around the experiences of Smoke and Subzero along with the Lin Kuei's betrayle.

Everyone else: I think we can all agree that Sektor has changed dramatically. Although some of us seem confused on what Sektor is on the more abstract level. Although this is all speculation on my part, I think Sektor has evolved beyond the empty assassin. I would go as far as to say he has an ego. Some sort of ambition to say the least. But this is often coutered with "how is that possible? He doesn't have a soul." Well, that's true. But he has free-will, obviously. He wasn't programmed to battle Subzero for the Dragon Amulet, and he wasn't under orders to ignite the Tekunin.

I guess the thing I really like about Sektor is that he's a different kind of evil than Quan, Kahn, and Shang. He's the evil without the desire. He's hollow, yet evolved into a creature fueled by ambition. I've read a lot of literature, and I've never seen a villain as unique as Sektor. He's the first souless villain I've seen that appears to have been executed correctly. That's saying a lot for a video games.

Temperaryusnername, I realize that in the automation process, both Cyrax and Sektor lost their souls, but do you think theres a chance that a small part of it was still there? And over time it has "grown" back into their bodies, or sektor's at least. I mean, for all we know, he could of been an egomaniac when he was with the lin kuei.

I think there is at least a slim possibility Skab and Sektor could be one.

I don't care if it's right, I just want Sektor in. I would love some kind of official confirmation.

If they all have 3 alts I still want Sektor to have a 3D version of his MK3 look and if another alt just switches his red and black scheme around I still won't be complaining but obviously there needs to be at least one significant alteration. Is that "Skab"?

If they really put time into it, i'm sure they could come up with cool alternates for sektor. Ideas may be slim, but i've come up with a few.

1). For this alternate, most of sektors body is opened up revealing his missiles, weapons, and such. You basically see his silvered coloured metal, with some of his red colour, mainly on his arms and legs.

2). His red coloured armor is off, and you mostly see wires and such running all over his body. Lots of machinery is seen, things like screws, spikes, rusty metal, ETC. Also, this alternate could look something like the terminator on the more damanged side. In the terminator movies, when the terminators skin is exposed, you see a metal skeleton and such. Perhaps sektor could be something like this. His armor could be removed, and you see more of his insides which are metal. Granted to this, sektors eyes could be red or blue.

3). Basically you see sektors skeleton all decomposed with alot of machinery parts on him. He could still have his red outfit on, except that his skeleton is showing more. For one of his eyes, there could be a long laser-like object sticking out, or something similar to cyclops. His skeleton could even be metal. Added to this, sektors alternate can also be him being half and half. What i mean by this is that half of his body on the left side is machine, while the other half on the right side is his skeleton, or something above that i mentioned.

IMO sektor is one of the most best and bad ass characters ever. He will be playing a huge role in MKD. I also agree with everything you said Temp.

Theres alot of possibilities for sektors looks. Hes a cyborg, and that doesnt have to mean that he must look exactly like cyrax. Robots look totally different, i'm sure they can think of a unique look for sektor. I would like him to have more of an advanced look with more machinery on his body. He'll need it, especially if he plans on scrapping with subby.

Coincidentally, the next chapter in my fanfic is "Automation". I'll be delving into Sektor's personality for the brief glimpse that we see him in human form. I always pictured him as blindingly loyal, but also vain and self-centered. Heh heh...

Something I hope that we see in MKD is a glimpse into just how it was that Sektor conquered Japan. It's barely touched upon in MK:TE, and I'd like to know more. Did he have his own loyalists who assisted him from the beginning, leaving the Lin Kuei along with him, to set up the Tekunin? I'm sure it's well within Sektor's abilities to gradually take over a country from scratch (I have ideas about it in the character thread), but I'm very curious.

And on a gameplay note, what with Scorpion having his teleport punch back, could it be feasable that we see Sektor's too?

I agree, if they ever decide to kill off Cyrax or Sektor, they need at least one more go at it...personally I rather them to come back as partners so to speak like they used to be, even if he isnt in the game, Cyrax would of made the perfect deception, going back to his bad guy roots...

They talk and point out alot about how they (midway) likes Ketchup and Mustard (the concept in general), but yet theyve only been in a few games together (MK3 UMK3 MKT and MKG), and with many what i consider C-characters in the game, Sektor and Cyrax could be the younger (if i dare to say) versions of Sub Zero and Scorpion...obviously with different stories...

MKDA didnt really exploit Cyrax's long dreadlock-like hair he used to have...and the red buttons being on his MKDA costume really his his look...I personally think he should stay the same he used to be, maybe a little more updated, but at least more classical...and bring the net back...

Sektor is a good addition to the game along with Kabal (to me, B characters) and Baraka (really, the only A character absent from MKDA)...but Temp, you know as good as anyone, without Cyrax im hesistant about this game...

and thanks for working on that info for me Temp...if hes back with all the MKDA characters, thats good enough, even though he could kick the asses of damn near everyone confirmed in this new one :P
